- Model: SD-H2002. Stands for “So Derrick, How’s 2002?” Because that’s what you’ll say to your friends who are living in the past, i.e. without a Zmodo (and also who are named Derrick).
Not The Same Zmodo
We know: you come here and you see a Zmodo security camera and you think, if I didn’t want to buy it the last two times you sold it, why would I want to buy it this time? Or, conversely, you think, I already bought your damn Zmodo security camera two times ago! I don’t need another of the same one!
And we get that. But the thing is, this isn’t the same Zmodo camera we’ve sold twice before. It’s actually a much upgraded, better version.
Here’s what’s new:
First, it’s got better sound quality. That means, not only can you communicate through it with more clarity; it’s basically a bluetooth speaker. Here is a very real product photo showing as much, because there’s nothing weird about bringing a security camera to your vineyard picnic.
Second, it comes with 4 sensors instead of 2. (Now, just be warned: if you want, add a 5th element of sensing, Bruce Willis will appear as in the 1080P video of your home as a futuristic cab driver, but if you add a 6th sensor, it’ll turn out that maybe he was never there at all. This joke was forced, but I’m very proud of it.)
Thirdly, it’s compatible with Alexa and the Google Assistant. Again, there’s a delightful product photo illustrating this. Just look at this adorable little iMessage-speaking fan of the surveillance state!
Okay, yes, we are having some fun with the images Zmodo chose to use here. But, for real, we can’t stress this enough: this is a pretty signif upgrade from our previously-sold models, and so even if you’ve scoffed at Zmodos on Meh before (or bought them), you might want to consider this one.
