The Medi-Oscars
Dr. Loomis dashed after Michael and past Laurie on the ground. As he reached the bedroom Michael had ducked into, he saw him. Michael, with nowhere left to run, merely stood there, silently staring at the doctor through the darkness.
Without hesitation, Loomis takes the shot. Michael staggers back a step but still stands.
Loomis fires again.
Michael moves another step backwards but still stands as if nothing happened. Finally, with two more shots, the killer recoils and, upon reaching the balcony, tumbles from the second floor onto the ground below where he lay, motionless.
Laurie, getting a hold of herself, manages to say, “It was the boogeyman…”
Looking back into the room, Dr. Loomis solemnly replied, “As a matter of fact, that was.” He steps over to the balcony and finds nobody in the yard. Apprehension grips him once more as he stares off into the night and Laurie cries.
From outside, someone calls out, “Hey guys, he’s still here.” Loomis spots a short troll nearby, who points back at the house. “He’s just kind of awkwardly pressing himself up against the siding. Now he’s looking at me and holding a finger up to his mouth like he’s telling me to be quiet. Now he’s facepalming.”
