RiF6 30-Hour Portable Bluetooth Speaker
- 30 hours of playtime on one charge! 30 HOURS, YOU GUYS! Sorry, we’ve got something in our eye
- 7" x 2.6" x 2.6": that’s 47.32 cubic inches of portable sound, whatever that means
- Bluetooth range up to 30 feet, aux-in range limited only by the length of your cord and the size of your dreams
- Wait a minute: Bluetooth range of 30 feet, battery life of 30 hours… COINCIDENCE??
- OK, for real though: decent sound, nice build, good reviews
- Model: 117DC24 (we’ve never seen such a polyglot model number: the first page of Google hits for “117DC24” includes results in at least five different languages)
Easy there, Sir Francis Drake.
RIF6’s own sales copy suggests that this portable Bluetooth speaker is suitable for the “outdoor adventurer”. But don’t get the wrong idea. Even the relatively indolent and pampered can enjoy this 7" long, 2.6" square Bluetooth speaker, with pretty decent sound, reasonably rugged construction, and most of all, 30 hours of battery life on a full charge.
Let’s be for real here. You probably won’t be engaging in any National Geographic-level adventures. But you might find this speaker comes in handy on your more mundane exploits, like so:
You probably won’t: unearth the Lost Temple of Musasir in the conflict zone of present-day Iraq.
But you might: find the geocache in that scrubland behind the Costco.
You probably won’t: explore the mountain highlands of Papua New Guinea.
But you might: take the kids to “that other park” a few miles away, with “the good playground.”
You probably won’t: search for the source of the Upper Zambezi in a native dugout canoe.
But you might: browse the Tri-County Boat Show.
You probably won’t: crouch in an empty oil tanker truck as some coyote smuggles you across the border.
But you might: sit comfortably in your favorite coffee shop and search the Vancouver “help wanted” listings.
You probably won’t: serve as an emergency battlefield medic for Médecins Sans Frontières.
But you might: serve as a first-aid volunteer for a 3K Family Fun Run.
You probably won’t: run with the bulls at Pamplona.
But you might: grill some burgers even though it’s only 58 degrees out.
