Take It Down a Notch

MistyMate. No, it’s not a dating site for people who cry easily. It’s a flexible UV-resistant system for cooling down your patio.

Because, come on, there are always those days where everything is beautiful… except it’s, like, 10 to 15 degrees too high for comfort. Or even 30 degrees too high. That’s what this thing can help with. Per the manufacturer’s copy:

Propels continuous ultra-fine mist that cools ambient air temperature up to 30°F (16°C)

Pretty amazing, right?

And we’re selling it with a timer, so you can set a schedule for when it turns on.

But the question we have is: what does all that cool mist do to your food if you’re sitting on your deck eating lunch while this thing is pumping away? Apparently, it’ll be totally fine, if we’re to believe the box.

Still, just to be safe, we advise making something that can stand up to a bit of saturation and moisture. You know, a meal that’s already damp, like:

  • Artisoak dip
  • Drench onion soup
  • Moisters Rockafeller
  • Wétouffée
  • Clammy chowder
  • French drip sandwiches
  • Gooey water cake
  • Sopcorn chicken
  • Sog paneer
  • Dankdank noodles

Are these puns stupid? Yes, yes they are. But there’s nothing stupid about finding a way to cool down on a super hot day.
