2-For-Tuesday: Braha 1:24 Scale RC Cars
- You get 2 RC cars for roughly 1/4000th the price of their full-sized counterparts
- You might get 2 remotes that operate on the same frequency, meaning you won’t be able to use them at the same time
- Choose from a bunch of different fancy high-end cars or 2 heavy-duty pickup trucks
- They’re all 1:24 scale models (meaning they’re either 24 times smaller or 24 times larger than the real thing)
- All officially licensed, and as the Amazon page says: “Who says only real car needs official licensed?”
- Model: Too many to justify listing in this precious, precious space
The RC Hustler
These officially licensed RC cars have controls that work on different frequencies. However, we’re selling them in 2-packs which may contain 2 cars that work on the same frequency. Meaning that you wouldn’t be able to drive them at the same time in the same vicinity without cross-control-contaminination. But don’t look at this as a potential problem — look at it as a potential opportunity.
You could use two remotes that work on the same frequency to earn hundreds of dollars by scamming your friends. All you need is a little luck, some perseverance, and a healthy dose of depravity.
You could hustle.
Imagine this: You invite your friend over to drive your fancy 1:24 scale Porsche on a track you’ve set up in the driveway. You let him or her take a few practice drives through the track. Then you make a friendly wager: You bet they can’t drive through the whole course without going out of bounds. Bets are proffered, hands shook.
Your friend begins their careful navigation through the course, laughing at the ease with which they will take your money. They approach the final stretch and … veer into a pylon.
They curse. You profit.
What your friend doesn’t know is that you had the other remote, which works on the same frequency, hidden in your cargo pocket. They also don’t know that you lack any ethical scruples whatsoever. Their blind trust is your paycheck, however, and you kindly usher them away while inviting your next mark – err … friend – over for a drive.
So you see, buying this 2-pack of cars is a gamble. You might get lucky and receive cars that operate on the same frequency, opening the door the hundreds of dollars in ill-gotten returns. Or you might strike out and get two cars that “work” “correctly.” Either way you can rest uneasily at night knowing you were willing to throw your friends under the 1:24 scale bus.
