Cheap Light
You get 12 of these things for $36. That’s 3 bucks per little LED strip. We’d say that’s as much as one coffee drink at Starbucks, but have you been to Starbucks lately? Everything you order, it comes out to be about 8 dollars. WTF? Is someone in the back milking the oats themselves?
Our point is, these things are cheap. Super cheap. And that’s good because while they can be put to some practical use, they’re better off being used for something superfluous and fun, which you can justify given the low cost.
And, once again, you get 12 of them.
That means you can use some for practical stuff, like lighting up that dark corner of the kitchen counter where the cabinet comes down a bit too low and the overhead just doesn’t reach. And you can also do fun stuff, like set one up behind your flatscreen to give the living room or home theater an exciting little bit of ambiance.
Think of it like a light show behind whatever TV show you’re watching! In fact, if you really want to maximize the light situation in your living room, set up some light strips behind your television and then stream a light show on your television.
You know what we’re talking about! Those series that put illumination front and center. Something like:
- Two and a Half Lumen
- Everybody Loves Ray-mond
- Watt We Do In The Shadows
- The Barefoot Contessa (with Shine-a Garten)
- The Wire (Coming Out Of The Base Of A Lamp)
- Em-LED In Paris
- Mr. Show With Bulb & David
- Friday Night Lights (But Actually Just The Lights, No Football)
- The Bright Stuff
- As The World Lanterns
Wow, these puns are awful. But these light strips? They’re pretty cool. So get them! They’re only $3 a piece!
