Compared to the featured deal, this one has a better processor benchmark, double the HD size, for $60 less. This one is refurbished, featured deal is new.
I see the new laptop has a USB Type C port. Is that something I should be looking for in a new computer?
For $360, I’m willing to try a new HP (the idea of getting refurbs worries me).
@JT954 For many “average users” USB ports are primarily used for connecting that little dongle for wireless keyboards and mice (mouses?). And maybe to charge a phone or iPod. If this describes you, USB-C shouldn’t be missed.
If you tend to use USB storage devices for frequent system backup, auxiliary storage, downloading very high resolution photos and video from cameras… then USB-C would be an advantage… IF your current storage devices and cameras are USB-C equipped. Otherwise you’d have to replace your current USB 2/3 devices in order for you to gain any advantage from the higher speed.
