Wingnut puppet for Duke energy and the tea party. Screwed the state royally with the lunatic homophobic ‘bathroom bill’ costing the state $$$ millions and making us an international laughing stock!
We voted you OUT Patty, pack your bags and LEAVE.
@cinoclav oh there have, I’m just expressing general distaste for such threads. Many of us hang out in places like Meh to get away from real life for a while and being reminded of the crap going on in the world by every political hot head who thinks his opinion needs to be heard is contrary to that effort. Do note that I addressed both sides.
@jbartus Trust me, I could express significantly more ardent opinions on this topic. All I did was point out the proverbial pot’s attack on the kettles.
As it is, the wonderful thing about meh’s forums is that we can talk about most anything. If people don’t want to read those particular threads, they simply don’t have to. It’s still a free country. For now…
@cranky1950 Sold in 2006 for 11 million after the parents died and I guess the kids wanted the money since it only made about $800,000/yr with 18 employees. Google maps don’t show that it was developed though in 2015 and there was another for sale sign on street view. I just tried to find out what happened to it and finally gave up. Way back machine didn’t help either. It was a really nice place to camp (presuming you liked rustic in the shade rather than zillion dollar RV’s and mini golf courses).
@Kidsandliz I very rarely get to the outerbanks it’s an 8 hour drive from here. However the parks service reopened Crabtree Meadows campground on the Blueridge so that was nice. Unfortunately the restaurante/comfort station/camp store that was fucked up during the Bush years is still closed.
Almost?
@compunaut He’s a PR Flack it’s hard to tell.

@Zebra not to mention the sweetheart fly ash pond deal that leaves the neighbors drinking heavy metal contaminated well water with no recourse.
@Zebra or the sweetheart Spanisb toll road deal that moves pay for play totally outside the jurisdiction of the US criminal justice system.
Oh look a handful of perpetually angry progressives talking politics on a shopping site. Y’all got your safety pins on kiddos?
@michealsoft72 Oh look, a conservative insulting open-minded people on a shopping site.
@cinoclav thats not very open minded of you.
@michealsoft72 i don’t know. i consider myself an erratically happy progressive.
@cinoclav @michaelsoft72 do we need to separate you two? I don’t enjoy seeing either of your sides’ crap on my shopping sites.
@jbartus Not like there hasn’t been any other threads related to politics here, right?

@cinoclav sure we can, in this case I get to talk about how utterly distasteful your chosen topic of conversation is.
