@narfcake I think the great Republican snow job qualifies him as a genius – in a Dick Dastardly/Wyle E Coyote way. Either way, dude is certainly fictional. This can’t be fucking real.
@capguncowboy Last weekend I found out my girlfriend had never seen Dr. Horrible…I am proud to say I grabbed my dvd and headed right over to watch it with her. This is something everyone should see!
@Marcusx70 Darth Sidious to be even more precise. So fucking sorry not sorry. Sorry (maybe) to be all cunty, I’m hungover - and still a little drunk too. And I feel sick as a plane to Lourdes. Pukesville, Tennessee. Population: Me
Now I’m going to have to watch the movie… series … ? What is it called? Technically, it’s a series, but I think on the Blu-Ray it plays as one long film ? Oh well. Off to watch it!
@capguncowboy Youtube has the whole thing in a single video. My daughter and I watch it regularly. She memorized “Brand new day”, even the super fast parts. I’m delighted every time she recites it to me.
Haven’t let my kids watch it yet, but they love the soundtrack. (They’re 6 and 4.) They have Bad Horse and Freeze Ray memorized.
More than once, they’ve heard a neighbor say “love your hair” to someone who got a new cut. With perfect timing, they always interrupt with “I mean, I love the air.” Rarely get a look of acknowledgment from anyone.
@MehnofLaMehncha There are more than a few sexual references, a couple overt, and a death scene, so use some caution with younger kids. But it is so great.
Keep in mind this came out as an interent serial in 10 minute segments during the TV writers’ strike. It was an opportunity for Whedon to get out some original content, without much cost, that would have normally not seen light of day. I’m so glad he chose to do so.
@Pony I really do think the actor who played him is awesome. Looks and sounds menacing and cunning, just like Loki from the mythology should. Brits have it in them. Shame it’s a superhero movie series, so I am not gonna watch it anyway. My opinion is based on seeing several scenes during a flight.
@serpent We’re usually rooting for The Brain, too, aren’t we? Don’t people rout for Dr. Horrible (legit question: I’ve still only seen the first episode)? Sometimes the evil genius is the anti-hero of a story.
@parodymandotcom No, it’s the roadrunner who is the evil genius. Coyote is the perpetual (and literal) fall guy.
True story: I had a visitor who was fascinated by the clickety-clickety-click sound coming from the steel roof of my house. When I told him it was probably my resident roadrunner, he looked puzzled. “How did it get on the roof?” Looking surprised, I answered: “It’s a bird [unvoiced: you idiot!] - it flew there!” Response, from someone raised on Roadrunner cartoons: “I didn’t realize they could fly!” Me:
So in the cartoons, Roadrunner strolled along the ground deliberately baiting the coyote when he could have simply flown above the coyote’s reach. Roadrunners are evil like that.
@ACraigL Maybe he’s just making a list for future reference. (It’s hard to find the bodies when they have been ejected in space.) Or perhaps some of those self-driving car “accidents” - aren’t. He’s an evil-genius-in-waiting.
@Bingo Holy shit! Someone else knows this show??? I used to watch the hell out of this when I was a kid. I loved it so much I dare not go back and ruin my memory of it with the reality of how terrible it probably is.
@sanspoint Several years back, I contemplated getting the counterpart license plate of MOJOJJO. I decided against it as the last thing I’d want is a car that fails all the time.
Rick from Rick and Morty. He’s awesome because he’s by far the smartest person in the universe: able to stop time, jump dimensions, create pocket universes, and casually outsmart the devil himself; and evil: he enslaves that entire pocket universe just to power his space car, and destroys a second pocket universe, killing untold millions/billions/??? without hesitation or a moment’s regret.

Barney
@Barney way too evil…
@Barney It said fictional
@capguncowboy Yeah right, like purple dinosaurs are real…
@Barney Oh, you meant that Barney.
@Barney “I love you, You love me”. MOMMY, MOMMY, MOMMY, IT"S BACK!
@Barney Y’all forgot Donapd Trump
@christian667 It’s asking for genius.
But I dunno … maybe duping folks with a lot of lies is being a genius. Roughly 69% by this figure …

Dr Horrible

@capguncowboy
It’s true he was vague on the “how” …
@capguncowboy Last weekend I found out my girlfriend had never seen Dr. Horrible…I am proud to say I grabbed my dvd and headed right over to watch it with her. This is something everyone should see!
Emperor Palpatine
(I’m pretty sure I know who his daughter is)
@MrsPavlov Hillary!
@TheCO2 Ha! Maybe - I’m drunk as fuck - and I meant to say grand-daughter.
@TheCO2 That actually makes perfect sense now.
@MrsPavlov Sheev Palpatine to be exact.
@Marcusx70 Darth Sidious to be even more precise. So fucking sorry not sorry. Sorry (maybe) to be all cunty, I’m hungover - and still a little drunk too. And I feel sick as a plane to Lourdes. Pukesville, Tennessee. Population: Me
edit dangit @capguncowboy you beat me to it.
@ninjaemilee It’s okay. I’ll vote it up anyway. It needs to be known.
@ninjaemilee
That’s ok
They say it’s better the second time.
(You get to do the weird stuff.)
@MehnofLaMehncha
They do the weird stuff

@ACraigL 360P !? No thanks! I’ll stick to the Blu-Ray!
@mehnofLaMehncha My wife turned it on for our daughters a few weeks back and they loved it. They’ve been singing the songs as well

@ACraigL
I’ve heard him say it was the first thing he ever did that immediately made money.
@ninjaemilee @capguncowboy @MehnofLaMehncha
I was partly inspired by this discussion and made a Dr. Horrible design for the current shirt.woot derby:

Loki.
Of these - Hannibal hands down. Hopkins played him brilliantly, but I’d say the TV series are even better - Mads Mikkelsen is amazing.
@serpent
No one names their kid Hannibal anymore …
I dressed up as Dr. Doom in Kindergarten. That, of course, gets my vote.
/image Dr. Doom FTW
@hems79 Wow. You were big in kindergarten.
Marvin the Martian (Looney Tunes, Bugs Bunny)
@katbyter You beat me to it. I love Marvin.
/image Keyser Söze
@reddinghill “The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.”
Bloody awesome. Adore this movie. But it’s not exactly a villain? More like an anti-hero, since you’re more likely rooting for him in the end.
@serpent We’re usually rooting for The Brain, too, aren’t we? Don’t people rout for Dr. Horrible (legit question: I’ve still only seen the first episode)? Sometimes the evil genius is the anti-hero of a story.
@serpent The poll asked for favorite “Fictional Evil Genius” not Villain. And I’d say the Verbal/Soze character fits the bill there.
@reddinghill good point, i was going to vote Dr Doofenshmertz (Phineas and Ferb) but clearly just evil adequate bad guy, not genius or true villian.
Dr Horrible, of course
I’m still saying we don’t know Elon Musk’s true colors yet.

Alan Rickman as Sheriff of Nottingham

@capguncowboy @AnnaB. Oh. I need to watch that again. I think the last time I saw it was when it was in theaters.
@AnnaB we constantly threaten to carve each other’s hearts out with a spoon,“cause it’ll huuurrt moar” (said in Rickman British accent)
@mollama
Gawd, he was good. How many actors get to do roles like his in Robin Hood and Die Hard in one life time, and knock them out of the park both times?

And Snape? And Sense and Sensibility?

No question about it. The Borg.
Gru
Jocker
Mary Richards
(I had forgotten how awesome MTM was in that role.)
Or possibly Lassie
@f00l
It may not feel too classy
Begging just to eat
But you know who does that?
Lassie, and she always gets a treat.
Presidential candidate Professor Milo Thadeus Pinkerton III leader of The Consortium of Genius!!!

I’m a big fan of Dr. Impossible from Soon I Will Be Invincible.
Fearless Leader
@cranky1950
Fearless Leader is a good one, but i’d vote Natasha.
@f00l Just your hormones talking.
@cranky1950
You misunderstand my hormones. I like Natasha because she was one of my idols.
@f00l I guess like Martha Stewart, I’ve alway admired how she managed to figure out how to get paid to act like a Polish Princess.
The Master
@theguru42 what about Missy?
@hollboll my first thought as well
Wile E. Coyote.
@parodymandotcom No, it’s the roadrunner who is the evil genius. Coyote is the perpetual (and literal) fall guy.

@rockblossom
I see them around sometimes. They’re always grinning.
I’m assuming Elon Musk, at some point. We’re just waiting for someone to wrong him, then we’re all screwed.
@ACraigL Oh come on, he’s named after deodorant how evil can he be.
@cranky1950 you tell me:
@ACraigL Maybe he’s just making a list for future reference. (It’s hard to find the bodies when they have been ejected in space.) Or perhaps some of those self-driving car “accidents” - aren’t. He’s an evil-genius-in-waiting.

Go Monkey Go!
Mo-Jo Jo-Jo!
The only evil villain with a DEVO song about him. How can you not vote Mojo? Mojo is clearly the option to vote for. Mojo Jojo should get your vote!
@sanspoint Several years back, I contemplated getting the counterpart license plate of MOJOJJO. I decided against it as the last thing I’d want is a car that fails all the time.
The Monarch
Or Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. Or anyone of the villains on Odd Squad.
He’s not fooling me…
Scorpius:
@rockblossom Great Show - Great Villian
Scorpius and The Master are good - but this is the guy
@Boiler3k I prefer Armando Guitierrez.
