Who else has their meh t-shirt as their go to for flying?
4My awesome co-worker bought me a meh shirt (black t-shirt with gold writing of meh) and I love it! Any time I travel for work or personal, I wear it when I fly and I get at least one comment from someone every time. The writing is starting to crack and fade. I am hoping there is a new meh t-shirt again soon. I plan on stocking up. ![]()

POKER! JOKER! NOT MEDIOCRE! AWESOME!
Welcome, new person…
I do not, but I will from now on. Good job, influencer!
I don’t wear the shirt but have Meh luggage tags to help identify my luggage at baggage claim. I also have tags that say, “No, it’s not yours!”
@ironcheftoni Hmmm, this seems to defeat the purpose. If you put a tag on it that says it’s not yours, then how can you claim it?
/showme Suitcase starting revolution with flag that says “I am not yours!”
@cfg83 Here’s the image you requested for “Suitcase starting revolution with flag that says “I am not yours!””
I have not, but primarily because I’m generally in “business casual” type clothes when I fly.
Yes. I AM old school that way…
@chienfou

“old”
@chienfou well that is kool. Sometimes that the best way to be, then others You MUST let out your inter Geeky Nerd for the whole world to see/ know!
@mycya4me
I know. I have seriously thought about breaking my “dress up” rule for travel for that very reason. I have used it when I’ve gone to large-crowd events like concerts or festivals. Also brought it on one of our last cruises.
I don’t typically wear my meh shirts unless I’m painting but I do use my meh bags constantly to grocery shopping. They’re amazeballs. I still plan to make a technicolor irk coat once I start bringing all my equipment into the new studio.
@sillyheathen I keep forgetting to stash them in the back seat for Aldi or Costco in particular. Should just use them in Kroger instead of dealing with their plastic but I’m sure I’d get some looks lol
@sillyheathen @unksol Getting looks is fine!
My husband does… I am with @chienfou about how to dress when traveling.
@mikibell
While I appreciate the fact that flying is now cheap enough that anyone can do it, I do miss the days when I didn’t have to see a bunch of people in loungewear pants or NSFW attire in the airport. OTOH I do find that I get perhaps a little better treated by the gate agents and on board staff if I wear appropriate clothing and treat them with courtesy and respect.
YMMV
@chienfou I once wore leggins and a sweatshirt through TSA and had a very THOROUGH pat down. Never again… nicely dressed every time!! Also nicely dressed when I go to the theater. Still appropriate imho.
@mikibell
Absolutely!
I wear my meh shirts all the time. They were the unofficial sponsor of my full arm cast I recently had bc they were the only shirts I had that had big enough arm openings and I could get off with one arm. Glad I had enough of them to make it through the week.
I’m not too fond of the material of the new meh shirts. I find them very scratchy and not very soft. Is anybody else feeling this way???
The only color I’ve ordered is black so maybe other colors (especially grey) are softer).
I did give away my brand new meh zip up during the exchange bc it was to big so I’d love to see a nice meh hoodie or zip up along with some sweat pants be available for ordering.
@Star2236 Nope, the gray is scratchy too.
@Kyeh
Well that sucks. No more meh shirts for me unless they change the shirts bc I can’t stand the material. They shirts before were so soft and some of my favorite and probably why I wear them so much.
@Star2236 I agree. I really hope they come out with new ones that are like the old ones. (Are you listening, @troy et al?)
@Kyeh @Star2236 @troy well that’s unfortunate. I think those are the only ones I’ve bought/they are still in the box.
@Star2236 @troy @unksol These are probably okay for working on your car or something - not unbearable (IMO) but not great for just wearing all day long.
@Kyeh @Star2236 @troy lol yes but the house/yard/garage shirts already have holes/stains lol. Hains/accidents generate those at a sufficient rate
@Star2236 @troy @unksol So just add the Meh ones to the mix.
@Kyeh @Star2236 @troy yea but I wanted them to be good lol. I know how you make shirts meh without them saying it lol
@Kyeh @troy @unksol
I don’t even know if I could use the new meh ones a house shirts for crap work bc they’re soooo itchy. If im working up a sweat, that shirt is gonna make me more itchy than normal too.
While recovering from my arm surgery last month, I had that shirt on and the dr prescribed me a different pain medicine that I’m allergic to (somehow got past the drs office, pharmacy and me) I took it, only knowing the drug by a different name and the drug made me itch uncontrollkablablely and break out in hives, even hours after taking Benadryl I was still itching extra not realizing it was from the shirt. It was a bad day.
@Star2236 @unksol
Was that pain med Norco? (acetaminophen and hydrocodone) Because that makes me itch like crazy, and same for my sister. I looked it up and evidently it’s a very common side effect.
I always tell my docs/dentists that I’m allergic to it.
@Kyeh @unksol
No, I definitely know that one. It was tramadol, I only know it as ultram. I guess it’s a newer version of it.
@Star2236 @unksol Oh! Tramadol is what my oral surgeon gave me to replace the Norco!
@Kyeh @Star2236 @unksol
That’s the generic (tramadol).
They made a show for Tramadol lol
