Man, I have no idea. I almost definitely guessed wrong, but I went with the Twins since I am currently living in Minneapolis. If you asked a few years ago, I'd have said the Rockies, because I was living in Denver. When it comes to baseball, I just root for the home team. Now football, on the other hand...
@simplersimon So im a Twins fan and I really really really hope they can turn it around. I was optimistic coming into the year after a surprisingly good season last year. But starting 0-8 doesn't look very promising. Our pitching? Awful.
@ryanj17347 Yeah. They showed a shot tonight of the 3rd baseline mid-deck (Legends Club and that awkward few sections at the end of it) and I was amazed at the open seats, especially for this early in the season. I'll just cross my fingers and hope for a miracle turn-around.
Some people think the Cubs are going to win the World Series. These people are crazy. The Cubs are cursed by God. The Chicago Bears will win a World Series before the Chicago Cubs.
@thismyusername the answer? Far too long. Unless you are sitting through a perfect game. Saw one in a minor league game once. Guys at work dragged me, almost literally kicking and screaming. That thing was over fast. Both teams had great pitchers against bad batters.
@jqubed It will be interesting to watch him fine-tune their hitting. No pitchers are willing to give Giancarlo Stanton anything that he can hit already. They have to pitch to the rest of the team, or let the Marlins win on walks. There's a vision...
@stardate820926 You don't understand how much of a fan I actually am. I'm the guy that watches 162 games a year, attends 20 plus a year (if I can) and knows what's brewing in the farm system.
@MEHcus I watch as many as I can. Weekday day games are rough but ESPN gamecast is a life saver. We usually make 5-7 games a year but I would do more of I could.
My husband and I watched playoff games during our honeymoon in 2010 and paid for brief internet access on the cruise to check the score of the game they didn't show on the ship. I'm still hurting over the 2011 World Series
I even "forced" @christinewas to take some time out of our one day in Seattle during a trip a couple of years ago to go to a game because the Mariners were playing the Rangers. It just seemed like fate that they would be there on our randomly chosen day in Seattle haha
@Ignorant Interesting that in Chicago, a Canadian musician would throw a ceremonial pitch to the guy who would end up coming to the Toronto Blue Jays and retire here last year (well, Buehrle isn't officially retired yet, but it's looking likely that he's going to). (Also, look how young the Beebs was!)
Royals in 5. In game 5 they'll be trailing through the sixth inning. Then all hell will break loose. Probably score 3-2 in that game.
@Pavlov Go Royals!
@Pavlov Idont even like baseball, but Im going to a royals game next week.
@JoetatoChip I like baseball, and I'll be at three Royals games next week - Tigers / Tigers / Orioles
@Pavlov My gosh, their games against the Astros look like they've just picked up where they left off last year.
Rose city rollers and gatekeepers.
There should be an "I don't give a crap" option.
@cengland0 I am with ya! I randomly picked one
@cengland0 Agreed!
All of you:
@cengland0 I put my mouse over the list, scrolled up and down a few times, and clicked on whatever it was closest to. White Sox it is!
http://shirt.woot.com/offers/pro-meh-1
@cengland0 @lilpaox @lilsrm123 I picked the Nationals because everyone hates Washington (because of the politics), but I don't (for the same reason).
@cengland0 Wouldn't that simply be not voting and avoiding the thread?
@MrMark No, it would not. Thanks for asking.
@joelmw Thanks for being 1/40 of my kind ;)
Sportzball yeah!
@xarous Sports Go Sports!
That's partly for you, @mfladd. I mock. I taunt in your general direction.
@joelmw
Even if they don't win - I shall always cheer my Red Sox.

@ryanj17347 0-8? Man, I really picked wrong.

Please refer to them as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim..... Awkward meh. Very awkward. They are not a real LA team....
Some people think the Cubs are going to win the World Series. These people are crazy. The Cubs are cursed by God. The Chicago Bears will win a World Series before the Chicago Cubs.
That being said, Giants over the Red Sox in 6.
@cpierce Aw, poor Cubbies!
@cpierce As a fan of both the Bears and Cubs, I'd take a Bears World Series win!
Jay Cutler for Cy Young!!!
Who is taking bets that they forget about this in November?
@thismyusername the answer? Far too long. Unless you are sitting through a perfect game. Saw one in a minor league game once. Guys at work dragged me, almost literally kicking and screaming. That thing was over fast. Both teams had great pitchers against bad batters.
Cubs vs Orioles in the World Series.
And the Cubs win.
(My 2 favorite teams)
@TheCO2 Agree, except the O's win.
@Sarahsda That wouldn't hurt my feeling, either.
Barry Bonds is going to bring a little something extra to the Marlins' bats now that he's their hitting coach.
I'm pretty sure they're now officially the Miami Marlins, not the Florida Marlins anymore.
@jqubed The big "Miami" on the uniforms kind of gives it away...B)
@jqubed It will be interesting to watch him fine-tune their hitting. No pitchers are willing to give Giancarlo Stanton anything that he can hit already. They have to pitch to the rest of the team, or let the Marlins win on walks. There's a vision...
@OldCatLady Looks like that "little something extra" is already starting to be felt.
Did you hear that the White Sox couldn't serve any beer last weekend at US Cellular field?
-They lost their opener.
What's a World Series?
If the Indians can hit the ball well this year, I think they have a legit shot.
@Kevin As long as they keep Cowgill away from a baseball bat, we should be ok.
Isn't sports season over yet?
My Rangers are finally going to win it all and I will sports cry my little eyes out when it happens.
@MEHcus yes! Go Rangers!!!!
@stardate820926 You don't understand how much of a fan I actually am. I'm the guy that watches 162 games a year, attends 20 plus a year (if I can) and knows what's brewing in the farm system.

Even year? Giants. No Question.
I am a native Clevelander, so every year we say "next year." However, for the Tribe, I think this year is actually the year.
I guess the White Sox

I Said INDIANS, fool!
HOLY COW!!!
Love the Rangers, but I picked the Orioles to win.

No idea, picked @ random, ended up with the mehts...
