I have some terrible quality video of my dad and niece doing Werewolves of London karaoke at my wedding. It cemented that song in my heart. They did the “awooo” and everything.
Normally, I’d vote WZ for anything, but Kellogg’s just took his street cred down a notch. [I saw a Werewolf eating Raisin Bran at the H.E.B., and his hair was perfect][1]
I can’t believe you didn’t mention “Mothra” by Anvil! What a Ripper!! Of course, I grew up as a neighbor to Canada, so I’m sure that influences my selection. Good call on the B.O.C., “Godzilla” by the way!
Purple People Eater
@katbyter oh god! It’s in my head. Get it out. Getitoutgetitoutgetitout

"and his hair was perfect."
I love the delivery of that line.
I’m just sad that Alley Oop didn’t get a mention. I wanted to marry him when I was four. He had dinosaurs, and stuff.

There are many Roky songs that fit here, but this is a personal favorite:

since it didn’t embed, you might have to find it on youtube and embed from there.
OK, third try:
One of my favorite memories of the Miami Book Fair was Warren Zebon playing keyboard and Steven King doing the vocals on Werewolves of London.
this is the best one, imho…
Here’s another one about a more modern “creature”.
This covers all the monstrous bases…

Zevon. I mean, come on guys, his hair was perfect!
If GlaDOS counts as a monster then I nominate Still Alive by Jonathan Coulton.
@SSteve
Love me some theremin.
I think it is an under appreciated musical instrument.
@mrapathy
and supposedly a difficult one to master. is that right?

That one has a half-pony, half-monkey monster in it.
@mrapathy Yep. Especially under the hands of Dorit Chrysler. Her musicality and intonation are impeccable.

Oh, the monster was
never really understood.
WTF Shelley?
