@Kyeh That was my first thought when I saw the question, because different items come with different utility, novelty (&/or quirky factor). lasting period for enjoyment, social status, etc.(many parameters).
I seem to be in line with most at the $20 mark… this car seems pretty cool though. I was surprised to see we have some multi-millionaires in the Meh community. For those few of you very rich folk that like to help those in need, if you are so kind to help me pay off my debt of 45k, I’ll happily send you my very own IRK inspired box of things I’ve collected. They say closed mouths don’t get fed?
I will admit to having to “think it over” on even sub-$1 stuff at Amazon Haul.
It’s usually limited to 1 item and no free shipping until $25+, regardless of Prime or not.
As Haul is Amazon’s “answer” to Temu, one can expect some items to be of similar quality – so even a 1¢ sale may be vastly overpriced.
Some great finds from time to time, however, like 86 cents total into a mechanical keyboard – with the keycaps being the greatest portion of that total.
This is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too existential for me.
/showme Anthropomorphized goat with black sweatshirt with yellow letters “cfg83” sewn on it is pondering a frivolous silly coffee mug that is $2.42 more than an upstanding practical coffee mug.
It depends on what it is.

@Kyeh Yes, exactly.
Due to my Fixed income, $10-$20 is what separates impulse from having to think about it.
I’d say $50 if it’s a complete unknown. Also if it’s an essential versus a toy.

Impulse buying is pure evil. If you don’t think, consider options, compare, low price hunt, and ask advice, you’re just wasting money.

@mediocrebot Guess I didn’t put enough angst in the showme. I need to NOT use the $ symbol in showmes, but that’s ok.
