I've seen the fire and I've seen rain. I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end.
But the weirdest thing I've ever seen?
There are a few things in life I wish I could un-see. This is definitely on the list: I was hiking in the mountains west of Keough hot springs and came across a snake... eating itself. It had a bit more than 1/3 of it's body in it's mouth and seemed to be working it's way along to complete self-digestion. Blech.
06/26/69 my last day in the Army. Ft. Myer, VA. I just signed my final papers indicating good physical & mental health. I step outside, hear a noise in the air and a guy is in the sky, flying. No plane. [It was an anniversary of the first time the Wright brothers demo'd their aeroplane on the SAME parade ground as this demo of some jet pack by The Terry Team from Minnesota. Another useless idea that cost a lot of money.]
That stainless steel can truck that was supposed to circumnavigate. Saw it tooling down US-1 toward the keys.
