Curious to know what other Meh folks eat. I had a bowl of Krave- chocolate multigrain cereal with chocalate filling. (Chocolate covered chocolate basically).
People still eat breakfast? I have lots and lots of coffee in the morning and usually eat for the first time at some point between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Sometimes later depending on what I'm doing.
I get up, eat a granola bar and a piece of fruit, then head to the gym. I drink a protein shake then take a shower and go to work. when I get to work I blend a quick smoothie I prepped before leaving home.
@The_Baron YES! even the yellow peppers! you only left out cheese between the avocados and eggs :-) I'm the only one up in the morning so I get to decide what I eat :-)
@RedHot I thought I saw cheese, blast. Yellow peppers and asparagus is dope. People need to get one the veggies, they are great if you know how to cook them.
@The_Baron I didn't eat very many until I got married, my wife's a vegetarian. Now I eat primarily veggies and feel so much better than I ever did before. Of course I've made a lot of other changes since college as well ;-)
@The_Baron Got nothing against the vegetable in its proper context, which is long after breakfast. They take away too much room that real breakfast could properly use.
Oatmeal with yogurt. I usually get Stonyfield Banilla and mix it in the oatmeal. (Made with water) Usually also get coffee and a granola snack when I get to work.
Oats and whey protein shake some mornings, or a turkey and spinach omelette when I have more time. Never made a better food decision than adding more protein to my breakfast. Oh and of course coffee.
Casey's General Store Breakfast Pizza--sausage. It was delicious. I usually grab it on Wednesday's because we have early morning PD. Otherwise typically I'll eat an apple/orange and a granola bar.
@studerc Flatbread or regular crust? I've discovered the only way I like breakfast pizza is on flatbread, and the only way I like flatbread pizza is as a breakfast pizza (bacon for me though).
Eggs and potatoes (we had baked potatoes for dinner last night and I make extra for the morning meal).
We used to have cereal most every morning, but somewhere along the way I started having a problem with the milk. Just got some almond milk last weekend and it works well with cereal (which I had for lunch yesterday).
@lisaviolet If you like coconuts, try almond-coconut milk. Taste is the same as almond milk, but ever so slightly coconutty, with a much creamier texture closer to real milk.
@chillface Sounds yummy. Last weekend I tried a sample of the almond milk at Costco ("please give me a small sample since I don't want a lot to spit out if I don't like it" I said.) I was surprised how unweird it was. I'll have to try some with coconut.
@lisaviolet Same here. Had leftover sausage-potato-pepper bake that I mixed with egg for dog and I this morning. (Dog got mostly sausage and egg, I got more pepper n onions.)
Iced latte - homemade Blueberry greek yogurt w/a handful of fresh berries (blue/rasp/straw) Beef jerky - a local shop does it peppery and yummy without adding a bunch of weird crap.
Every weekday morning I have an Americano from the office coffee machine. If I'm home or it's the weekend I'll usually do a few cups of Aeropress or Moka.
Today for breakfast I had some chicken salad from Central Market and mixed in some mesquite almonds and Sriracha. I don't hold to the conventions of breakfast food and encourage everyone to break from the bonds of tradition and eat whatever they wish at any time of day.
@SpeakerDoc they're amazing! I haven't made one in a while but I used to get some pre-made dough from Trader Joe's (I'd probably make my own now), cook up some scrambled eggs and bacon but not all the way, you're going to put them in the oven so you want the eggs barely firm enough to be considered scrambled. Top dough with cheese, eggs, bacon and bake. This sounds really weird, but I loved drizzling some ranch dressing on top. For some reason it worked really well.
1 cup holiday spice coffee with ID Carmel Macchiato flavored creamer and 1 and 1/2 Eggo Nutrigrrain waffles usually at work I get a bagel sandwich with bacon egg and cheese but chose to eat at home today
On weekdays, I have two cups of coffee. On weekends, I have pancakes, eggs, bacon, and coffee. Do it right or don't do it at all is clearly my motto here.
3 strips of turkey bacon, 1 egg fried in a teensy bit of butter, and a cup of greek yogurt, preferably with a fresh strawberry. Well, that's what I have most mornings. This morning I had two bowls of cereal because I'm out of yogurt and my kitchen is too gross to cook in.
Weekdays, cold cereal, Blueberry Morning today. Weekends, Waffles or Eggs or Pancakes. This is a very healthy group judging by this thread. Based on normal comments around here I am shocked!
I eat breakfast only on the weekends, and usually around noon - mostly I'll have eggs, bacon, sausage, and grilled vegetables. Otherwise, I generally eat only one meal a day around 9:30 PM, and pretty much it always consists of a large steak with a spring mix salad and grilled asparagus or other grilled vegetable, occasionally a bowl of french onion soup if I feel like I want or need the extra carbs. Been doing this for five years and I am in better health than I have been since I was in college. Knocked out all carbs and processed foods and stopped taking insulin after six months and never looked back. Doc says I'll outlive him. And yes, I drink two or three good (large) stiff mixed drinks a day - sometimes more, sometimes less - I limit the beer to once or twice a month. I have red wine with dinner every evening.
@Thumperchick It was easy for me after awhile - some days I have to force myself to eat now - I just feel sated most all the time and don't have an appetite during the week if I am busy.
@Pavlov When I'm in stride with LC, I find myself rarely hungry - but I get dizzy/shaky if I don't eat every X hours or so. Maybe someday, but for now - I need to lay off the sugar.
@Thumperchick I completely understand the struggle - been there myself. I always had a bowl of cashews or macadamia nuts handy those first months when I felt shaky. Sometimes I'd have a small salad and that would do the trick - after a few months, that went away. It took me a good six months to get in the stride I'm in now, but for MY body, this is the best diet - my blood levels are great (cholesterol, triglycerides, etc.) and my fatty liver issue is about 1/4 of where it was a few years ago. My A1C is consistently 5.5 - 5.7 and I don't even check sugars daily any longer. For some people, this is the way to go . . . I worried about my kidneys in the first few months but all is going well. Hope you're able to lay off the sugar if that's what you want to do . . . For me, it just got to the point where I said to myself "Enough - change the way you eat or die." I said it in the mirror and dropped 100 pounds that first year (a little more than my first wife weighed) and have kept it off. Isn't easy, but it can be done.
Jimmy Dean ham and cheese omelette 4 cal mags, 3 creatine pills, 1000mg E 400mcg Co10 a garlic pill and 4 cod liver oil caps and a table spoon of liquid lecithin.
Today was unusual, I ate leftover sausage-potatoes-peppers-onions-garlic and fried some scrambled egg into it. Before noon. And after a half pack of cigarettes and half pot of drip coffee. (I'm cutting down on the vices.)
Today I had some Rice Krispies. Lately it's been that or Corn Flakes or Cheerios (I've had to go to eating simple foods lately thanks to an unruly stomach that has also dropped me 50 lbs), or oatmeal. Other times I just have a banana, or maybe some crackers a little later in the day. Partly it depends on how much time I have before work (and if I just end up eating at work).
Usually just coffee, but on Monday? Cheetos and coffee, because why the hell not? It was my birthday and I'm an adult who can make all the questionable choices I want.
I wish I had something to eat for breakfast. And lunch too for that matter. Coffee usually ends up filling in for breakfast and lunch... and mid morning snack, and afternoon snack...
I just hope my breakfast is on the healthy side. I have one small alvacado and two small eggs with two small oranges. And that keeps me pretty full for awhile.
Fun-sized butterfinger, fun-sized pack o' skittles, fun-sized twix, and some generic brand cherry cola. Probably won't eat anything else until I get home for din-din. (I should take a stroll around the office to see if anybody brought donuts...)
Every morning--bottle of water so about 17 oz. Followed by blacked coffee or tea. Then random foods. Tylenol and Ibuprofen this morning cause hurt my neck/trap whilst golfing.
Always a greek yogurt. I switch between blueberry and strawberry.
@dashcloud mmmmmmm Krave, breakfast of champions. One of the best cereals ever created.
People still eat breakfast? I have lots and lots of coffee in the morning and usually eat for the first time at some point between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Sometimes later depending on what I'm doing.
Luna bar, greek yogurt with flaxseed, chia, and hempseed mixed in, an apple, and coffee.
I get up, eat a granola bar and a piece of fruit, then head to the gym. I drink a protein shake then take a shower and go to work. when I get to work I blend a quick smoothie I prepped before leaving home.
@RedHot Since @editorkid is worried about doing breakfast right Weekend POWER Breakfast
@RedHot I don't even recognize some of that stuff. Is it vegetables?
@editorkid I see bacon, alvacado, asparagus (yellow peppers?), eggs, and toast. Looks good.
Of course I've made a lot of other changes since college as well ;-)
@RedHot I just realized you can see Opie (dog) to the right below the counter, HEY OPIE!
@The_Baron Got nothing against the vegetable in its proper context, which is long after breakfast. They take away too much room that real breakfast could properly use.
@editorkid Good amount of vitamins and protien for the day. I like making scrabled eggs with a handful of baby spinach.
@editorkid those veggies take nothing from 4 eggs, 6 strips of bacon, and wheat toast. Especially since I'm not a big pancake/waffle fan.
@RedHot Well, if you aren't gonna finish that pancake... reaches fork over
Oatmeal with yogurt. I usually get Stonyfield Banilla and mix it in the oatmeal. (Made with water)
Usually also get coffee and a granola snack when I get to work.
Oats and whey protein shake some mornings, or a turkey and spinach omelette when I have more time. Never made a better food decision than adding more protein to my breakfast. Oh and of course coffee.

@studerc PD???
@Pamtha professional development.
@studerc Flatbread or regular crust? I've discovered the only way I like breakfast pizza is on flatbread, and the only way I like flatbread pizza is as a breakfast pizza (bacon for me though).
Strawberry Pop Tarts, toasted.
A pot of coffee, a handful of pills, and a shot of insulin.

Iced latte - homemade
Blueberry greek yogurt w/a handful of fresh berries (blue/rasp/straw)
Beef jerky - a local shop does it peppery and yummy without adding a bunch of weird crap.
slice of homemade banana bread. Omnomnom.
I'm still in bed, but after I get up, breakfast will consist of a homemade latté and an organic toaster pastry.
@JonT breaks all the breakfast rules.
@JonT What are your thoughts on cold pizza for breakfast? (not breakfast pizza, regular lunch/pizza).
@dashcloud I'm for it! I love it. I'm also for breakfast pizza in any form.
@JonT I'm so in with this. I had a smoked turkey sandwich with hummus on sprouted wheat for breakfast today.
@dashcloud This is the first I've heard of breakfast pizza, except for bagle bites, because when pizza's on a bagel... etc. I'm in your debt.
@AnnaB Yes! Eat whatever you want whenever you want! I had beef and broccoli noodles with cashews for breakfast today.
1 cup holiday spice coffee with ID Carmel Macchiato flavored creamer and 1 and 1/2 Eggo Nutrigrrain waffles
usually at work I get a bagel sandwich with bacon egg and cheese but chose to eat at home today
A terrible McDonald's coffee, though I refrained from buying any "food" while I was there.
@Nikodemus The only real reason to stop at McDonald's is for the bathroom and coffee.
On weekdays, I have two cups of coffee. On weekends, I have pancakes, eggs, bacon, and coffee. Do it right or don't do it at all is clearly my motto here.
Coffee, and then a little later a clif builders protein bar.
@katylava that's a nice breakfast
today, herb crusted pork tenderloin, 2 hard boiled eggs and coffee with heavy cream.
@carl669 you just made me drool on my keyboard.
@Thumperchick i don't know... boiled eggs aren't THAT exciting.
@carl669 aren't they?
@Thumperchick yeah, ok. they are. especially with sriracha.
Um, am I the only one who just had cereal?
@hollboll nope. =)
@hollboll I use to just eat cereal, Multigrain Cheerios, but switched to plain oatmeal because it was less sleep inducing.
@hollboll I eat cereal as a snack
@hollboll I just had cereal. But, in my case, it's what the kids and I had for dinner.
Weekdays, cold cereal, Blueberry Morning today. Weekends, Waffles or Eggs or Pancakes. This is a very healthy group judging by this thread. Based on normal comments around here I am shocked!

@Pavlov LCHF I can do. Only eating once a day? I don't have it in me.
@Thumperchick It was easy for me after awhile - some days I have to force myself to eat now - I just feel sated most all the time and don't have an appetite during the week if I am busy.
I love purple.
@Barney Thanks for the love Barney.
@Pavlov I do keep a bowl of macadamia nuts handy if I ever feel like I need a boost during the day - but it is rare.
@Pavlov Aww...
@Pavlov When I'm in stride with LC, I find myself rarely hungry - but I get dizzy/shaky if I don't eat every X hours or so. Maybe someday, but for now - I need to lay off the sugar.

The competition.
I eat oatmeal with raisins and cornflakes.
Nothing today. Lab work at the doc. My usual breakfast is egg whites. Sometimes I throw in green veggies or some fresh ground black pepper.
Jimmy Dean ham and cheese omelette 4 cal mags, 3 creatine pills, 1000mg E 400mcg Co10 a garlic pill and 4 cod liver oil caps and a table spoon of liquid lecithin.

fresh oranges off the tree, a banana, frozen fruits, kefir, in a blender. and lotsss of coffee.
cheerios
Venti non-fat white mocha, no whipped cream. I can't bring myself to have real food until noon. Well, donuts are the exception!
ibtOctopus
Pizza and coffee.
But breakfast for me is usually around 2 PM.
@2many2no Of champions. That's about my normal time and food.
@Zebra my people!.....are delicious
@Zebra Breakfast octopus! :)
Buttered grits, sourdough toast, a hard boiled egg, a teeny slice of Meyer lemon cake and two cups of coffee.
My last breakfast was bacon and coffee. A little bit later I threw a banana in for good measure.
Usually just coffee, but on Monday? Cheetos and coffee, because why the hell not? It was my birthday and I'm an adult who can make all the questionable choices I want.
Instant Oatmeal, because I live a sad lonely life....
@tentalces1349 I eat Instant Oatmeal as well!
I wish I had something to eat for breakfast. And lunch too for that matter. Coffee usually ends up filling in for breakfast and lunch... and mid morning snack, and afternoon snack...
Kashi Raisin Vineyard cereal.
A chocolate donut and a slurpee. I had a half day of work and wanted to feel my head buzzing while there.
Bonus points for me in that it's 15 degrees and snowing when I walked into work with my 44 oz slurpee.
The blood of my mortal enemies... Well... kind of... Coffee and a cheese Danish...
