Is there such a thing as too much coffee? Ten pounds showed up from Kauai today, along with the two our friends gifted me for cooking and then I came home to the loveliest box with coffee from @capnjb! What’s a girl to do?!?! I guess I need to go make some coffee.

I guess I should’ve said we’re going to need a bigger coffee pot. The jet lag is strong today.

@capnjb I treated myself to a 7year aged bottle of rum. You can only procure it from the distillery/tasting room. They also had a 5yr that you can only get in the islands I think. I just couldn’t help myself. Also randomly they had Lagavulin 8 for $35! I haven’t been able to find it for less than $70 in quite some time so yeah.

FWIW liquor seems to be crazy cheap in Hawaii. When we flew back in March I ended up buying an extra suitcase to bring back everything I bought at Costco! Most of it was less than 50% of what I paid locally!!

There’s a rum distillery a couple of hours from here in Georgia that still makes rum from sugarcane rather than molasses. They have a reciprocating program with a winery and swap out barrels, aging some of the rum in the winery’s Port barrels while the winery ages some of it’s port in rum barrels. It’s quite yummy stuff.

Richland Rum… It’s in Richland, Georgia. Tiny town near Columbus in the mid-southwest of the state. Cool place to visit if you’re ever in the area. Check out Groupon for discounts on their tasting program.
Is there something is too much coffee? Yes only because you can only drink it so fast. No matter how good a drinker you are. But it takes a lot of coffee to do too much.
