Just curious what your weekend plans are? Closing up the pool maybe? Putting up some Halloween decorations? Anyone getting the odd early snow? Maybe watching some post-season baseball (Go Red Sox!)?
Working on Saturday. Hoping to figure out how to hang my orange sparkle lights from my gutter, because we are still getting the grass cut twice a week here and I’m not about to pull up all the cords before they cut the grass.
Don’t really decorate for Halloween besides maybe a pumpkin outside. Trying to change that a little this year. I’m never home on Halloween since we don’t really get trick or treaters, so I skip it.
@speediedelivery that’s at my friend’s house. I go there for Halloween since he actually gets trick or treaters. We are going to try to make some packing tape ghosts this year.
@Targaryen 5k completed and my knee is icing as I type. I feel accomplished. As a bonus I had the opportunity to have a long chat w Bobby Plager. He is amazing
@speediedelivery We heard the last part of the first band, High Valley, and they were good. Michael Ray was fun too. Old Dominion was too mellow for a jam packed concert where we weren’t allowed to bring lawn chairs. Plus it turns out I don’t like any of their songs. Still it was a nice night. And season pass.

Friend’s birthday/Eagles watching party on Sunday. This weekend is going to fly by.
Working all day Saturday. Afternoon luncheon Sunday. Monday is TBD. I am back to work Tuesday and then off again until Saturday. Planning to get some work around the house done. Weather is supposed to be nice and warm a few days which is better than the tornadoes a bit south from me this week.
I am going to be so confused about what day it is.
@kdemo I’m cheering you on while sidelined with a bad case of hives. Hands, feet, etc. I have meds to take but they put me out for awhile. Severe stress sets them off, and I know exactly who to blame.

Snow? Lol, it’s still in the high 80s here. Not doing anything too exciting. New play date for my dogs this evening with a newly adopted Great Dane. She’s lovely in form and manner. Tomorrow starting a new clay sculpture class. Excited about this, I’ve been struggling in my regular ceramics class to figure out how to hand build hollow forms in soft clay without armatures. Looking forward to learning new approaches. Sunday, glaze bisque ceramics in am, regular gaming group in pm.
@moondrake I wish I had learned that yrs ago. lol… bought a big kiln (used) and a bunch of molds (hundred or so) about 15 yrs ago and that thing is still sitting in the basement of my old house, untouched. Hopefully still works after sitting so long there but… time to get rid of it since I"m gonna sell the house. Actually, it was hubby’s idea but there was never enough room to set stuff up. And neither of us had any idea what to do, lol. pipedream.
I live in central Florida, so snow, despite my longing for it, is but a wistful pipe dream. My plans will probably include building a new steel and canvas gazebo that we got to cover and protect our barbecue grill on the back deck, put in some more hours on my most recent playthrough of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and inflate some of my wolf pack on the front lawn. Poor Fenris hasn’t been out since early August and I’m starting to feel bad!

@RiotDemon That’s not a half-bad idea. Dozens of my inflatable photos are on the web pages of probably a hundred Chinese factories at this point. The worst part is none of them can probably actually make what’s in the photos!

Makerfest is “makers”- people who make stuff. It’s a thing now. Some are robotics and high tech things but it’s also crafts. There was a blacksmith and a tiny trebuchet and legos and local robotics teams and libraries with tiny plastic printers and yarn and wood and soap and puppets. It’s supposed to be a STEM thing but I don’t see it. It’s also the one day a year the museum is free instead of fifteen bucks so it’s always well attended.
Playing around with my new Roku Ultra. Mostly that means setting up my channels while fending off all the pay channels they thrust at me.

@therealjrn - I did. Roku sent a strange email offering a gift. I ignored it, but when they sent another I called the company to see if it was legit. With reservations I sent my address, and the gift turned out to be a new Roku Ultra. Weird, huh?
It’s the thanksgiving long weekend so I’m making a small turkey dinner Monday evening for me and my brother since my sisters live away and my parents are currently on vacation in the countries that formerly made up Yugoslavia.
