Some former railway lines are repurposed as managed nature reserves, trails or other tourist attractions – for example Hellfire Pass, the route of the former “Death Railway” in Thailand. Many former railways are converted into long-distance cycleways, such as large sections of the National Cycle Network in the United Kingdom.
I might be a little offended at the suggestion that Anker is comparable (for similar) to TZUMI. And I’m not above buying an aukey or ravpower every now and then…
@surfeit have you ever tried to walk a cat? Some of them are great at it. This one, like a cat I tried to walk, absolutely hate the harness. My cat would flop on the ground and would rather be dragged than walk.
@surfeit I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one having trouble with that picture. I can’t imagine why someone would think that showing a dead cat would be fun for all of us.
@gertiestn I’m not sure who your are responding to since you tagged three people. I don’t know what you want me to stick where. I’m trying to reason with you and show you that the cat isn’t dead.
@RiotDemon And I think you’ve more than made yourself clear. There is no excuse for that photo. Showing that it was, ha ha ha, not REALLY a dead cat is beside the point. Decency is the point. Meh had, once upon a time, been a kind and caring place. For all.
@djslack@gertiestn@RiotDemon@surfeit Come on y’all. The cat is not dead. If you’ve ever tried to walk a cat on a harness and leash, you’ll recognize the, “Hell no I’m not moving. Drag me, hooman scum.” thing that’s going on here.
No cats were harmed, ill-thought of, and certainly not killed for the silly photo on today’s offer.
@craigthom@Fuzzalini
That list is from 2017, I’m sure found with the most meh-tastic efforts. It’s a shit list and any phone made after that list was made aren’t listed. There are more recent qc3.0 lists out there.
@Atomizer@craigthom@RedOx The previous models of my phone are listed as having 2.0 in this list. I checked the stats on my phone and even though is not on either list, it does have the QC fast charging built-in. Those lists are suspect. I get three messages when I plug in my phone: slow charging, charging (in my car @1.2A) and Turbo charging when plugged into the original charger.
@Mothersnakes Clearly, Meh sees nothing wrong with this, no matter how many of us were offended and/or sickened and/or pissed as hell. Perhaps we should go over to MorningSave and talk about laughing at dead animals.
@Mothersnakes And we should all be really impressed because the picture was originally used in an inane photo? And that makes it, you know, so very much funnier.
@gertiestn@Mothersnakes I don’t understand why you are freaking out. The cat isn’t dead. I linked the photo of the cat refusing to walk on the leash. I had a cat that did exactly the same thing.
@chienfou QC 3.0 is “100 percent backward-compatible with Quick Charge 1.0 and Quick Charge 2.0 devices”, according to Qualcomm, so I’m not sure what your point is.
@craigthom My point is the list is for those phones that are QC 3.0 certified, and therefore don’t include the QC 2.0 devices from Samsung… Not that they are not compatible, just not able to reach the peak performance payout that QC 3.0 can provide. (ala USB 3 vs 2)
Anker wanna be’s…as their ratings show. Sorry, trusting a 1000 dollar phone, not to mention my house to 3 star ratings average on all their products is a no go…
@fastharry The only difference between Anker and any other Chinese company selling the same products is that they’ve spent more money on marketing, which they passion to the consumer.
There are many similar howtos. Most of them only use the one port for all power. This device has some handy fixed 5v outputs to drive the microcontroller and other 5v circuitry directly.
If you feel like building a power supply with one output where the output voltage can be computer controlled from 3.6v up to 12v in 200mV steps rated at 18 watts or less, and one or more fixed 5 volt supplies, this is a part for you.
I would suggest adding fuses, and not using this to power anything valuable. Keep in mind that software failures might lead to excessive voltage on the output. Likewise, hardware failures could also produce problems.
@sunderbug I love political incorrectness, but to kill someone’s cat just to try to sell some crap chargers , not so much. And then to photoshop a leash on it to create the “original” picture, wow.
@Mothersnakes@sunderbug they didn’t take the photo. I also didn’t Photoshop the photo that I linked to show the original. I right clicked on the photo and a pop up comes up to let you search Google where you can find the picture everywhere of the cat with the leash.
It’s not a dead cat. It’s a cat that doesn’t like walking on a leash. That’s it.
@Mothersnakes@RiotDemon@sunderbug Probably people wouldn’t have been upset if the cat’s eyes had been open. I must admit, even though I am a cat owner and have had some that behave like, that my first thought was they were showing how to kill (or shock) a cat as a joke, which I thought had crossed a line a bit. Had they done it to Irk I wouldn’t have given it a second thought.
I got mine few days ago. Did not notice any weird smell. I am very happy to report that it charges my Motorola phone at “turbo charge” speed, and everything else plugged into it charges just fine. This device has allowed me to clean up the mess on my nightstand, and for that I’m very thankful. My best Meh purchase to date.

@yakkoTDI Or the Highline in New York City, which I had the pleasure of walking whilst visiting there.
But: ? ? ?
I could adapt to that!
The 4th and 6th pictures show a different product… Aside from the dead cat, they show 5 USB ports
@Superllama7 you’re right, that’s the wrong product. We’ve got four ports on ours.
@dave @Superllama7
Watch out, while there are TZUMI branded cords in some of the pictures, this does not appear to include any cords.
This isn’t the same thing as the others. I’d buy this desktop charger.
@djslack you’re right, this is the wrong product. Ours has 4 ports
@dave and the wall prongs are directly on the one for sale tonight. Get the one with the cord for cheap and I’m a buyer, four ports or five.
Don’t need this for the
Meh Face Popsockets
you’re not selling today.
@mike808 you can glue this on and have a charging handle
Boring!
/giphy and?
I might be a little offended at the suggestion that Anker is comparable (for similar) to TZUMI. And I’m not above buying an aukey or ravpower every now and then…
@Superllama7 Perhaps Anker management would help you be less charger offended.
Looks to have a power cord, but specs say a folding wall plug as shown in the first pic. Which is it? I need a corded one.
@medz that one also has 5 ports. I’m thinking that’s the wrong pic.
@medz Check out iClarified.com or the app. They post whenever there’s a sale on those kinds of chargers. There was on a few days ago you just missed. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/iclarified/id388040325?mt=8
USB: Universal Serial Bus
@Poopy be careful with true facts around Meh
@Poopy Bus? Seriously? It doesn’t even have wheels.
@Poopy @raymeh Or have any Cap’n Crunch to eat on the bus.
@Poopy
U Serious Bro
@RedOx Super cereal.
How do I charge the? Let me count the 4 or maybe 5 ways.
@hchavers To USB or not to USB.
/giphy fun-important-sugar
Is this Mac compatible? No it is not. Apple is NOT on the list of fast charging phones and drones.
@Mehrocco_Mole Don’t you wish you had a Wileyfox Swift 2 X?
@sligett If I did would autocorrect change color to colour?
@Mehrocco_Mole proubably.
So, what’s the burn-down-your-house probability with this brand?
@nolrak I’d say pretty high given anyone who has ever used one didn’t survive to post a review on the internet.

@akumax It worked! Your order number is: inexpensive-bony-gecko
/image inexpensive bony gecko
@akumax @mediocrebot Not an expert, but that looks like a rather expensive gecko.
@akumax @mediocrebot @Mothersnakes But you could save $200 buying auto insurance from him!
Not that it matters to anyone, but the specs say that it can do 45w, but the box says 40w
Seems like a good reason for having bought the Poo-Pourri.
Did someone at Meh think that the cat picture was just perfect?
@gertiestn I thought cats were USB-C
@gertiestn @mehcuda67 Most cats are, but this one was obviously an older model.
@gertiestn just the thing that brought me here… so this thing is a cat defibrUlator???

WOW… that cat pic. Really?
@surfeit have you ever tried to walk a cat? Some of them are great at it. This one, like a cat I tried to walk, absolutely hate the harness. My cat would flop on the ground and would rather be dragged than walk.
@RiotDemon I have walked a cat! And taught my cats to use a people potty and to sit pretty for cookies…
That pic looked like a deceased kitty that someone was trying to recharge - a la 'Re-Animator". Scarred me for life that flick did!
@surfeit I know right? They used the wrong product picture and it’s super barfy.
@surfeit I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one having trouble with that picture. I can’t imagine why someone would think that showing a dead cat would be fun for all of us.
@gertiestn Or any of us, speaking for myself.
@gertiestn @surfeit it doesn’t look like a dead cat to me.
@gertiestn @RiotDemon @surfeit he’s…he’s, ah…probably pining for the fjords.
I definitely don’t read that as dead cat, but “I don’t wanna” cat. Maybe this is some kind of personality test.
Maybe medz should animate the tail doing a little curl to indicate definite not-deadness.
@djslack @gertiestn @surfeit
Original photo. See attached leash.
@djslack @RiotDemon @surfeit You know where you can stick it? This may be the end of Meh for me.
@gertiestn I’m not sure who your are responding to since you tagged three people. I don’t know what you want me to stick where. I’m trying to reason with you and show you that the cat isn’t dead.

@gertiestn so I’m confused… Now you’re not mad because the cat wasn’t dead? You’re mad because the cat doesn’t walk?
@RiotDemon You’re confused, all right. I am now gone. Have fun, won’t you?
@djslack @gertiestn @RiotDemon @surfeit Come on y’all.
@djslack @gertiestn @RiotDemon @surfeit @Thumperchick
Another dead cat.
Samsung phones aren’t on the list, but if this is really Qualcomm QC 3.0, they will switch into fast charging mode.
@craigthom I’m pretty sure my Motorola phone is also fast charging, but wasn’t on that list.
@craigthom I’m in for one so I guess I’ll find out
@craigthom @Fuzzalini
That list is from 2017, I’m sure found with the most meh-tastic efforts. It’s a shit list and any phone made after that list was made aren’t listed. There are more recent qc3.0 lists out there.
@craigthom @Fuzzalini @RedOx Including from Qualcomm itself: https://www.qualcomm.com/documents/quick-charge-device-list
@Atomizer @craigthom @RedOx The previous models of my phone are listed as having 2.0 in this list. I checked the stats on my phone and even though is not on either list, it does have the QC fast charging built-in. Those lists are suspect. Wtf, so the last picture demonstrates the utility of this product for killing cats!? And it’s not even the model that’s for sale.
@Mothersnakes it’s not a dead cat. It’s a cat refusing to walk on a leash.
@Mothersnakes Clearly, Meh sees nothing wrong with this, no matter how many of us were offended and/or sickened and/or pissed as hell. Perhaps we should go over to MorningSave and talk about laughing at dead animals.

No Samsung devices! As a multiple Samsung owner & fan-boy, I’m offended! Don’t like it? So tzumi…
Samsung isn’t on their list, but if it’s QC 3.0 it should work fine. I’ve got several generic QC chargers that all show “fast charging” on the phone.
@craigthom Samsung S7 and S8 are Qualcomm QC 2.0 certified… not 3.0
@chienfou QC 3.0 is “100 percent backward-compatible with Quick Charge 1.0 and Quick Charge 2.0 devices”, according to Qualcomm, so I’m not sure what your point is.

It’s the same stuff with different names.
Here is a howto on using a QC 3.0 USB port as variable voltage power supply, assuming the charger behaves properly. You will need an Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or pretty much any other microcontroller with two available GPIO pins. http://blog.deconinck.info/post/2017/08/09/Turning-a-Quick-Charge-3.0-charger-into-a-variable-voltage-power-supply
There are many similar howtos. Most of them only use the one port for all power. This device has some handy fixed 5v outputs to drive the microcontroller and other 5v circuitry directly.

with all the “dead cat” BS im seriously considering buying one to support Mehs wonderful politically incorrect attitude- refreshing - dont change Meh!
@sunderbug I love political incorrectness, but to kill someone’s cat just to try to sell some crap chargers , not so much. And then to photoshop a leash on it to create the “original” picture, wow.
@Mothersnakes OK so I googled the “Why you never hear…” phrase and the first two images are listed from these websites:
http://suck3rpunch.blogspot.com/2014/04/why-you-never-hear-im-taking-my-cat-for.html
https://me.me/i/why-you-never-hear-im-taking-my-cat-for-awalk-4435466
So I think it’s safe to say that the photoshop charge is bogus.
@Mothersnakes -do you honestly think that the wonderful people at meh- KILLED a cat? omg - they prob didnt even take the pic-
@Mothersnakes @sunderbug they didn’t take the photo. I also didn’t Photoshop the photo that I linked to show the original. I right clicked on the photo and a pop up comes up to let you search Google where you can find the picture everywhere of the cat with the leash.

@Kidsandliz @Mothersnakes @RiotDemon
zoom… zoom… cats eyes are contently open- look closely
@sunderbug OMG, so after they killed the poor cat they couldn’t be bothered to close it’s eyes. Savages
@Mothersnakes - rotf- meh is so awesome isnt it
LEGOS! EGGOS! STRATEGO! AWESOME!
@sunderbug It’s the cat’s meow
marvelous-gusty-drake => good for gizmos and good supply for raspberry pi.
Maybe all the “dead cat” viewers have simply never owned a cat. If they have, they need to go talk to a professional.
Poul Androidson.
Isaac Appsimov.
Arthur USB-C Clarke.
Once again, we see that old-school science fiction writers were ahead of the curve. Well, except for Robert A. Landlein, obviously.
I’ve been waiting all day for that cat pic to become the next gold vs blue dress viral sensation. Shrödinger can do away with that useless box prop.
@snapster More cat abuse.
Received mine today… surprisingly they smell just like cow shit.
I got mine today. I didn’t notice a cow shot smell, but maybe i should give it another go.
Definitely kicks my Samsung Note5 into “fast charging” mode. i haven’t timed it to see how fast it actually is, and it’s unlikely i ever will.
Holy crap mine smell like burning electronics. Not happy.
I got mine few days ago. Did not notice any weird smell. I am very happy to report that it charges my Motorola phone at “turbo charge” speed, and everything else plugged into it charges just fine. Just cuz.
Somehow I feel obligated to post this.
@blaineg some people just want to watch the world burn! Nicely played!
