@Cerridwyn All your time is after work then, lol. What do you like to do? My retired Dad literally always has the TV on. My wife and I are book people these days. This year, I’ve read over 100 books and I work full time, lol. I read (and listen to books) for the majority of my downtime.
@gwrankin 100 is not too little. I have always been a reader. How much I read really varies. And I don’t find over all that I read that much more than I did before I retired. I think I have a little bit of ADD and I don’t sit still long enough. Most of the time. Although I have had books I will literally sit and read all day until they’re done. If I’m traveling I always have books. I can remember going to a gaming Con on the East Coast many years ago before e-readers, and I packed a book for every day and extra for each day of travel and a spare. And I bought books there and pretty much they were all red by the time I got home. E-readers for the win. In travel especially. My TV is on most of the day but it’s on Spotify more than anything else. Makes it easier to bounce between it and the occasional TV show that I actually watch.
@brennyn $10 subscription? I definitely enjoy forums too. Haven’t heard of that one. Reddit is pretty good when you find the right non-toxic subs. The flashlight and edc ones are good imo if you’re into those kind of things.
Play with our new kitten or watch her play with one of the other cats. So far she is very friendly and likes climbing into my lap, curling up and going to sleep.
@tweezak aww. We adopted a 2yo cat to stop her from going to a shelter. No matter what we do we can’t get my 15yo cat to accept her. It’s sad for now because we have to separate them. They each get one floor of the house.
The 15yo won’t be around for much longer presumably, so then she’ll finally get a full run of the house.
Why is I’m retired / I don’t work anymore not an answer

Play video games!
@Zeusandhera Came here to say this. I usually do some Animal Crossing, and then settle in for TV.
Go out shopping, but I should be going to the gym.
@heartny
At least you’re getting your steps in!
@chienfou Exactly! That’s why I choose large, big box stores and malls.
Read old school forums like Something Awful where I can just read hobbyist discussions about things I like. Best $10 I ever spent.

Pics or ban!!
Try to remember what it was like coming home after work before I retired. Must have been traumatic, because I don’t recall those experiences.
…work? I don’t do that.
@Pony Me either. I just hope my job doesn’t find out.
Go to bed.
I work generally second shift and don’t get home until around 11:30 at night. After 8 or more hours in the ER I’m usually ready to tap out.
@chienfou I’m surprised there are ER’s that are 8 hour shifts.
Some days I just stare at the wall.
Some days I stare at a wall with a TV.
Some days I take a nap before going to bed.
Get on a daily deal website and look for the funny, snarky, and intriguing comments. I am getting more disappointed everyday.
@hchavers
Awww…sorry to hear that…
What kind of books are you guys / gals reading?
@ragingredd I’m currently reading the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. It’s very entertaining.
i said watch tv, but I really mean YouTube…on my TV…
Typically I read and crochet with a BBC panel show of some sort in the background.
