What was I thinking??? Yesterday I had a garage sale and sold a working 1973 slide rule complete with the instruction book. Vintage, working, no scratches, pristine condition… Sigh. That was going to be the prize to end all prizes in the next exchange. I got 5 bucks for it which will not be spent on meh as I need it to fix the ghetto van.

You know, once you start thinking that way, you can't ever have a garage sale and risk denying some random internet stranger your crazy garbage. But by fixing your van, you make the opportunity to go out and buy/find even crazier garbage for internet strangers. You made the right choice, and your life will be richer as a result.
