@PooltoyWolf For one ,they don’t charge as fast. 2 usb C cord last 10x longer. I have 15 usb c cords now and maybe 2 micro usb. The connectors fail fast. One day they work, the next day they are teetering on and off. It’s not all about old vs new tech. Usbc is just better over all.
@Num1Zero I will never understand how people break micro USB cables…I have been using them almost every day on various devices since the standard was introduced and I have almost never had a connector break or fail. I am careful to insert correctly and not force.
Regarding charging speed, see my original post. Speed really does not matter on non-smartphone devices, and a slower charge just means the battery in the device will have a longer overall lifespan.
@Num1Zero@PooltoyWolf I’ve never had any variety of USB cable fail on me but some of my friends have to get new phone charging cables every couple of months and I have no idea how they are doing it. It’s not just the connector, the whole thing gets ripped to shreds.

Recently, my phone and now my IT at work is blocking the images from media.stores.com. All the pictures do not load. They say it is for my safety and that malware is present. It’s a lot harder to judge products with no images.
My inner teenager will be having nightmares tonight because the Meh button face today looks like it’s got a mega-zit on its chin.
My inner middle-aged individual with a home office job will have them because of the name of today’s product; I didn’t need to be reminded about the struggle against “the spread.”
My inner overactive imagination will have them trying not to form a mental image of the target audience whoever named the product thought they were going to appeal to.
That’s 3 nightmares; it looks like the chance of a decent night’s sleep are pretty slim (unlike today’s product offering). I’m hoping that tomorrow some random one-product-a-day website has a really good deal on energy drinks.
Walmart has this listed (though out of stock) for 141.99. And the listing has the exact same images as Meh (sans meh’s AI-generated final image). Except Walmart’s listing reads, “Measures 4 ft. tall with 24” diameter".
