A.C. Doyle was famous for a series of detective stories he wrote back in the day, but if you want biographies of these authors you can always look 'em up at Wikipedia, eh? Anyway Lot No. 249 is my favorite of his horror stories, and can be read courtesy of Roy Glashan’s Library at Project Gutenberg Australia (gutenberg.net.au), where copyright laws are slightly different than they are in THIS part of the world:
