It might. I haven’t checked into this chefman brand but that’s not a bad price for an immersion circulator.
Your weak points with an IC will be heater wattage, circulator build quality, and control module itself (i.e. a cheaper built one might develop problems from moisture getting into the control module). If this one doesn’t have great reviews, you can often find the Anova at $99. That’s a bit more money but it’s a known quantity and a solid piece of equipment.
This one claims 1000 watts, not bad. The clip design will limit you somewhat on your choice of cooking vessel. It doesn’t look bad at first glance, though.
I didn’t read reviews but Best Buy has basically the same price of $69.99. 4.3 star overall rating.
@Barney Yeah, I know. That’s what they did when I bought those sonic toothbrushes. I bought one for me, and then bought more for family at Christmas, and then a month later they had 'em for half that price here
I got a sous vide deal over the holiday. It has literally changed my life. You can’t screw up steaks. Yeah, they take longer to cook, but your patience will be rewarded.
I can’t speak for the one on MorningSave, but I bought an Anova knockoff on Monoprice and it’s performed like a champ.
MorningSave also is offering some vacuum sealers, which enhances any sous vide foods.
Still $49 too much for me. I try not to spend too much more than a catshirt’s worth on any small kitchen appliances/devices.

@Dweezle After YOU buy it there, it will end up for sale here. So go ahead and buy one, because I want one too. I’m waiting…

@Dweezle You have my kind of luck.
My husband have me one a couple of years ago. It’s a Joule. It’s pretty cool but i forget to use it most of the time. He knows i love kitchen gadgets.
@ivannabc We have a Joule too, but we actually use ours fairly often. I love it.
