The latex liner is both subject to softening when pressurized continuously and suject to degradation when exposed to the UV in sunlight. To get the longest service life, connect them and use them in a shaded area out of full sun, and disconnect and store them immediately when you’re done using them. The claimed total length is probably an overstatement; they usually won’t expand to their full rated amount. The nozzle will outlast the hose by many times over. All of that said, for some people, these are a perfect solution. I’m demonstrably not one of those people.
