I’m in! I enjoy these and I certainly have better luck purchasing IRK’s than I do playing the lottery. To be fair, I think I’ve purchased more IRK’s than lottery tickets
Haven’t had much luck with these recently, but I still feel I’m ahead after getting a full luggage kit last year. So I’m in! Hope springs ever eternal.
In for another blow. A bag, eye patches and a corset was my last go around. It is fun to see how inappropriate and random it is. Oh geeze I forgot the 2 international socket adapters, for 2 different countries, my bad.
As usual, here’s my Ever Longer And More Absurd Completely Unofficial Explanation Of Certain Things That Rules Lawyers Might Want To Quibble About:
Only purchases made from the Meh dot com site during the Mehrathon can count toward the IRK partial refund. Purchases on SideDeal, Morningsave, Casemates, Hammacher-Schlemmer, Lewis & Conger or any other as-yet-unmentioned stores-dot-com site do not count.
If you buy an IRK and also make one Meh purchase during the Mehrathon, you will eventually get $0 refunded to your method-of-purchase, because the deal this time requires three unique item purchases, but when the IRK ships, your account will get $3 in stores-dot-com credit that can be used against future purchases. (There will be no time travel to retroactively apply it to something.)
If you buy an IRK and also make two purchases from two different sale listings during the Mehrathon, you will eventually get $0 refunded to your method-of-purchase because the deal this time requires three unique item purchases. $3 in Stores-dot-com credit will accrue as mentioned above. (No retroactive application.)
About that “Unique Item” requirement: the three purchases must be from three different sale listings on the Meh dot com site. (Thus the “unique item” notations above.) By way of example, buying two different items from the same sale listing (like one pack of blue socks at 2:07AM and one pack of green socks from the same listing but bought at 8:43AM) only counts as one unique item for refund purposes. (“Unique” has a meh-unique meaning here.) You need a total of three purchases made from three different listings during the 'Thon in order to qualify for an IRK refund AT ALL.
Continuing on…
If you buy an IRK and also make three unique-item-by-the-Meh-rules purchases from three different sale listings during the Mehrathon, you will eventually get $15 refunded to your method-of-purchase. This is not guaranteed to reduce your regret at having bought an IRK. (In fact, the regret is the only guarantee.) You will also get the mentioned-above $3 stores-dot-com credit, with the already-detailed provisos.
If you buy an IRK and also make four or more unique item purchases from four or more different sale listings during the Mehrathon, you will eventually get $15 refunded to your method-of-purchase. You will also get the mentioned-above $3 stores-dot-com credit, with the already-detailed provisos. Glutton for punishment, much?
If you buy an IRK and also make one purchase from each and every different sale listing during the Mehrathon, you will eventually get $15 refunded to your method-of-purchase, and at least one staffer will point and giggle at the list. (Presumably. Perhaps more than one. They’re not likely to be explicit about this.) You will also get the mentioned-above $3 stores-dot-com credit, with the already-detailed provisos.
If you do not buy an IRK but you make one, two, three or more purchases from different sale listings during the Mehrathon, you will eventually get $0 refunded to your method-of-purchase, and you will totally miss out on the opportunity to experience the genuine Regret™ that only comes from buying an IRK. You will NOT get the $3 stores-dot-com credit that would have accrued for the purchase of the IRK. Frankly, you’re probably better off not buying the IRK anyway.
Items available during the Mehrathon but purchased before the 'Thon began or after it ends do not count toward an IRK refund. Sorry, any “oh, shit, can I cancel this thing I bought yesterday and rebuy it today during the 'Thon to get the IRK discount?” CS requests will get a sneer of derision (privately) and a polite response of “no.”
Hope that helps. (Powers that be, feel free to edit any errors.)
@werehatrack You need to make a few corrections. There is no $15 Refund this time; this go-around you get $15 in Coupons to use for future purchases:
and if you buy from at least three unique Meh.com offers during the
two-day Meh-rathon on July 8 and July 9, you’ll receive a total of $15
in coupons that can be used on Meh or Sidedeal, which effectively
bings the cost of the IRK down to $12 after credits, assuming you
qualify.
The question though is, how are the coupons dispersed? Do you get 3 - $5 coupons? Or 5 - $3 coupons? Maybe even 15 - $1 coupons?? Who knows??
What’s Included?
It is a mystery ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@besosmom2 Oh But the biggest part, no condoms this time… My local shelter might be disappointed…

@Extramedium @narfcake @troy @dave can somebody zap this one? I may or may not post the other one that’s composed for the coupon deal.
@MrGoodGuy The last time, it was three $5 coupons. We need an answer for this.
@MrGoodGuy @werehatrack yes, 3 $5 coupons
