@PlacidPenguin I guess there is a significant barrier to entry on this idea, but a spare phone isn’t a strict requirement.
So I took the picture with my iPhone (work phone), and posted it from my iPhone, and it shows up sideways on my iPhone. But it shows up correctly on Android. Just weird.
AFAIK apple has decreed that all browsers on iOS must use webkit to render content. So chrome is pretty much just safari with a different skin, if I understand it correctly.
My first picture ever uploaded to Meh. And of course it’s sideways. Sorry folks, I don’t know how to fix it and I gotta get to bed but I hope you enjoy my sideways cats because even in landscape they’re adorable!
@narfcake Thanks for the help! Also yeah, that “cat side/my side” is quite accurate!
This picture is how the bed often really looks but the big gray one wouldn’t agree to a photo the other day.
(I used an actual computer to upload this time so hopefully it is not sideways) (Also, this is the third attempt to upload this picture)
@cinoclav it’s the only lip balm that I’ve managed to go through several completely. Most other ones would break or get disgusting from constantly being in my pocket. I tend to buy 3-4 at a time to make sure I don’t ever run out.
Fine. If you participated in a Mexchange and I were to get you, and I were to buy lip balm as well as glue sticks, I’d warn you before you start sticking your lips on them.
I don’t have an electron microscope in my basement (yet!), so I did the cheap route-
Yes, I went there.
Eyelash mites, dust mites, all sorts of things probably yet undiscovered that we don’t want to know about (at least speaking for myself )
According to at least one source cited by Wikipedia, virtually everyone over 18 has them. And they don’t like light. So when you turn out the lights and fall asleep, they come out and mate on your eyelids.
Sweet dreams!
Apparently my toothbrush is haunted.
I keep a bottle of Snapple by my bed.
(Preferably Peach or Half & Half.)
I was going to rotate this but decided it’s artistic expression.
Thanks, meh!
@therealjrn what is that stuff?
@UncleVinny
@therealjrn huh! Like in the Cronenberg movie?! Super cool, friend.
Genuinely surprised I’m the first with this one…
I give up on this damn sideways image thing.
/giphy deal with it
@djslack
I didn’t have any spare phones lying around to take a picture of my phone.
@PlacidPenguin I guess there is a significant barrier to entry on this idea, but a spare phone isn’t a strict requirement.

@djslack @PlacidPenguin oriented correctly on pc as well. Can you get chrome for iphones? Which way is it in that?
@djslack @Seeds
I don’t own an iOS device. So I’m unable to check.
@Seeds Sideways too.
AFAIK apple has decreed that all browsers on iOS must use webkit to render content. So chrome is pretty much just safari with a different skin, if I understand it correctly.
@djslack Ah, didn’t know. fair enough
This is my night stand. I use it to hold things when I go to bed.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiicolaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
@curtise I had no idea Ricola made tea!
Purple penguin plushie gets a pat.
@narfcake
Brief glance:
Leaning ‘a’ (the second one).
The ‘r’ meets the ‘f’.
Small ‘e’, plus the top of it dips.
The ‘c’ has a resemblance to an ‘e’.
@narfcake
But more importantly, what’s that white thing on the white arm?
Rip? Feather?
@PlacidPenguin An errant thread.
My bedtime routine involves my cat sitting on my chest while I do crosswords. When I’m out of town this rainbow kitty hotpad takes her place.
Okay third time at fixing image rotation is the charm?
facepalm that took 20 min to figure out because it is stupid late
“Alexa, turn off bedroom light.”
“Okay”
Two necessities: water and chapstick
My first picture ever uploaded to Meh. And of course it’s sideways. Sorry folks, I don’t know how to fix it and I gotta get to bed but I hope you enjoy my sideways cats because even in landscape they’re adorable!
@qwerty82 I’ve re-rotated it.
Also:
@qwerty82 that’s a great first picture!
@Seeds Thank you!!
@narfcake Thanks for the help! Also yeah, that “cat side/my side” is quite accurate!

(Aaaannnd it’s sideways. I can’t win.)
Torben always gets snuggles before bed (and any other time he wants them.)
He sits next to my bed and holds very important items. Lip balm and a hair tie. (Hair tie not shown.)
@RiotDemon I have that same lip balm. It’s great stuff and big enough to use when I’m skiing without having to take my mittens off.
@cinoclav it’s the only lip balm that I’ve managed to go through several completely. Most other ones would break or get disgusting from constantly being in my pocket. I tend to buy 3-4 at a time to make sure I don’t ever run out.
@RiotDemon
So what you’re saying is that if you participated in a Mehxchange, and all you got was this lip balm, then you’d be ecstatic?
@PlacidPenguin if I only got one, no. Several, I’d be ok. A huge box, thrilled.
I like the randomness of items, sooo…
@RiotDemon
Which is why some of the sticks would actually be glue.
@RiotDemon
@PlacidPenguin ew.
@RiotDemon
Fine. If you participated in a Mexchange and I were to get you, and I were to buy lip balm as well as glue sticks, I’d warn you before you start sticking your lips on them.
@PlacidPenguin phew.
@RiotDemon you still have alerts off?
@Seeds yep.
@RiotDemon sigh
@Seeds sorry. Just don’t want extra emails right now.
@RiotDemon that’s fair
my Chromebook. usually watch an episode of something in bed before I actually go to sleep.
I track my sleep with my watch
@hillee The last time I slept that well, I was three.
