@chienfou Bears aren’t an issue around here (I’ve only ever seen a wild bear here once and that was over 50 years ago).
However, one or more cougars have been sighted in my neighborhood recently (so far, I haven’t seen one). My next door neighbor had 5 goats slaughtered by a cougar just a couple weeks ago.
@chienfou the Englishman and I actually tripped over a very large black bear resident once in Yosemite when we were heading home, not even remotely inebriated…… Thankfully he just grumbled off into the forest. I was always far more wary of the big cats than the bears.
@chienfou methinks there was enough alcohol in the bloodstream that it negated that effect.
We also once walked up on a cougar, which the Englishman originally thought was a coyotes, walking to our cabin on a separate occasion. When I realized it was a big cat I was definitely more nervous and didn’t sleep for a week because I was convinced it would slash through the canvas of our tent cabin.
The polar is the one that will actively hunt humans.
But they’re not near the Rio Grande these days.
@f00l but there have been bears spotted in Rio Rancho (and other nearby cities) recently.
Gummy. Definitely gummy.
@mehvid1 especially those 1lb GBs.
@mehvid1 Oh yeah, the gummies are dangerous …

KuoH
@hchavers I thought Cocaine Bear was a documentary about Fozzy the Bear. Shrug, shows you what I know.

@cfg83 @mediocrebot That is a very good Idea!
The polar bear is probably the most dangerous to encounter. But the sun bear is the cutest.
@kittykat9180 love the sunbears!!!
Haribo sugar-free gummy bears.
@dettsam Yeah, it’s like, what’s the point?
@cfg83 @dettsam just don’t eat too many at once….
Scare Bear who will be coming out with the Wendi in a few days to hang out in the studio.
The one closest to you is probably a stuffed animal so odds are your safe.
@f00l I never knew that one, I just avoided cracks to protect my Mom’s back.

Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.
Whichever live one is in my vicinity when I am ‘out in nature’…

@sillyheathen

To tie this back to today’s poll, that would definitely be a “laundry generating” event!
/giphy omg yikes
