You never could catch those Duke boys Rosco. But thanks for all the memories from one of my favorite shows in my youth. This raises the question of what were some of you Mehrican's favorite shows growing up?
I grew up so long ago we had steam-powered TVs. But some favorites, in no particular order, were Hogan's Heroes, Addams Family, Dick Van Dyke Show, Laugh-In, Wild Wild West, and Carol Burnett Show.
@parodymandotcom Dick Van Dyke show is before me--but recently found it on Netflix. I am surprised that even my 13 yr old is watching and actually enjoying it. She gets the humor and we enjoy seeing the "technology of the day."
Yes, Gilligan's Island was always entertaining. Not so much anymore. I was a big fan of Charlie's Angels (especially when Cheryl Ladd was in a bikini), 6 Million Dollar Man (and his offshoot lady), the aforementioned Dukes of Hazzard, the cheesy stuff like The Love Boat and Fantasy Island, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy. I also watched a lot of Hogan's Heroes, Addams Family, The Munsters, etc. New shows just try way too hard.
Star Trek, Laugh In, Twilight Zone. Now and then I still see a Twilight Zone episode I've never seen before. I've never watched The Dukes of Hazzard, though. Wonder how I missed it?
When I was a kid, my mom bought a friend of mine a Dukes of Hazzard play set (complete with awesome plastic binoculars, police badge, and handcuffs) for his birthday. . . i secretly coveted said play set and waited the entire party to find some made-up reason to say I was mad at him so I could take my gift back. . . My mom wasn't having it. . .it was worth a shot.
I love that show. Hard to find a show today that people of any age can watch. All the sitcoms drop sex jokes every few seconds.
@StrangerDanger Very true. They're either too edgy or just too stupid. I'd say we could all watch reruns of The Cosby Show, but uh...
Loved the sadly shortlived show "Due South" when I was younger. I wanted to name our next dog Diefenbaker but Mom wouldn't let me.
Dem Duke boys got away one last time.
As a kid I enjoyed Gilligans Island.

@cinoclav Fantasy Island was dark. I'm fairly certain that Mr. Roarke was actually Satan. Or maybe pre-flight Khan.
@ChunkyBitz Not sure why Tattoo was always trying to get people to jump out of the plane early. De-plane, de-plane!
@cinoclav I was pretty young but thats about all I remember is the, Tattoo shouting at the plane and the guy saying welcome....to fantasy island...
I may be too young for this thread. I'll catch you oldies when the topic doesn't predate my existence :-)
I loved Dukes of Hazzard.
Other favorites: MASH, Knight Rider, The A-team, MacGyver, Little House on the Prairie, Magnum PI, Miami Vice,The Fall Guy ....
I'm sure there are more I could name--but off the top of my head this is what I got.
@Prissy Knight Rider, now that's one I can't forget because of someones phone......@StrangerDanger

@jrwofuga Well played. And you would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for your meddling mom.
