@f00l it was pretty good, I mean rocky gets re-done literally multiple times a year (the movie was based on the live show after-all)… but… we are all so used to the original movie version at this point that most won’t tolerate any differences. some review I read mentioned a good point… the 2016 version would have been wildly more popular had they done it live.
@thismyusername It would’ve been wildly more popular if it weren’t an absolute train wreck. It basically feels like a Disney version produced by someone whose only ever seen the movie at midnight screenings.
@DrunkCat curious, have you ever seen any rocky live performance? cause I can tell you… while it was no revelation, I have seen a couple really really bad live versions.
@cranky1950 I tried to go this year in costume, but it was just too darn cold and I was sick!! Had the Columbia costume all ready and waiting. We did have front row seats. I made my husband buy me a goodie bag too
I was surprised the theater wasn’t packed. This was a live show, and the Rocky was a terrible singer. All-in-all it was a good show.
We have seen the live show with Meatloaf in it, many eons ago – it was our first date!
Wait, do you mean the actual RHPS or the more recent remakes?
@jbartus I meant the original…haven’t gotten to watch the more recent version.
@jbartus
Is the remake any good? Hard to see how it could measure up.
I mean, parts of the original were filmed (fake filmed, probably) in Denton.
PS no knock on Denton. Love Denton.
@mikibell bueno!
@f00l not from what I’ve heard

@thismyusername Yeah, that’s my point. Unless you were comparing local artists to a $15 million production?
@DrunkCat
But dammit, Janet!
I still haven’t watched this movie.
@RiotDemon
@thismyusername I almost feel like I’ve seen this movie because of how many times I’ve heard the time warp song and the characters are mentioned.
One day I’ll get around to it.
Did you go in costume?
Did anyone sucker you into sitting toward the front of the theatre?
Rocky Horror has to be the only show where the theater fills from the back tø front.
