Aww. Was hoping to see Irk in leather helmet, goggles, and flyin' scarf as he 'trolls' other employees by zipping a copter right past their heads as they try to get work done or at the least look their trying to get work done.
I say we strap a bunch of these to Mars and fly Mars closer to Earth so that in a few years when we're ready to fly a manned mission to Mars the astronauts don't have to fly so far to get to Mars. This is a great idea. NASA needs to get ON it!
@Mehrocco_Mole@Kevin Party poopers. I still think we need to scoot Mars closer to Earth to make it easier to get to. We may eventually need a backup planet if we keep fucking up this one
Way to go...one question I had was whether you used 1 remote or 3....seems to be one. Three remotes could be the key to success...just requires a bit of coordination (or friends)
@tightwad 1 remote. I think the key is making sure that what you have connecting the copters is light, and that you find the center of gravity and build around it. The copters have more than enough power, they just need to push the same direction.
I sincerely challenge anyone to make a better try-copter. It was a lot of fun to make but I'm sure it can be executed better and I would love to see someone else's attempt.
@Moose I may have to take you up on THAT challenge as well. I have 3x of the copters (and a 4th that's completely different from Fuku) AND the k'nex kit after all... Two challenges with one stone you say? How can I possibly resist?
Ironically this video showed up in my sphere of awareness on the same day as the parts for building my quadcopter finally showed up at my doorstep. What a fool I am! I could have saved DOZENS of DOLLARS and built one of these instead!
Bravo.

Irk: The Red Baron
Here's to dicking around at work . . . and things that "kind of sort of" succeed. That's the spirit of meh.
Best one yet! More videos of people getting gently hurt please!
DAG GUMMET!
Well done boys. Everyone loves to dick around at work.
And the crowd goes wild!

@pepsiwine you need an atmosphere to do that.
@Kevin I think @pepsiwine has jumped out of a few too many airplanes.

@Kevin Buzz kill.
This is a brilliant video! Bravo @matthew and thanks to the Meh staffers who wanted to see if this could be done.
More of this kind of video!

@ChadP This is where 3 remotes could have made the difference...apply more power where needed to balance it!
@tightwad Yea, but you know, effort and stuff.
@MEHcus I can respect that
@tightwad
@ChadP I was thinking putting some pennies or something on the parts that need a little weighting down.
@ChadP Or, tape helium balloons to the parts that seem too heavy. Plus it'd look ridiculous.
@Bingo "If I had helium balloons..." was definitely uttered during the try-copter's building stage
