This coffee maker is awesome. It brews a full pot quickly in 7-9 minutes. The thermal carafe keeps coffee hot for several hours. The water tank is removable for filling and cleaning. And the brew basket is also removable for filling and cleaning. I bought this new on Amazon.
I owned the previous generation (bought it here on Meh as a refurb) and it lasted for almost 8 years before the “start” button broke. This new model has capacitive buttons and a much brighter display.
Best coffee maker I’ve ever owned. The carafe does an amazing job of keeping the coffee warm for hours. I usually have it brew automatically at 7:30 in the morning, and when my gf gets her first cup at 11-12 it’s still hot.
That said, the carafe is probably the best and worst thing about this pot. Some can be a ‘little’ leaky around the seal between the metal and plastic, it’s something you’ll probably see reported, but if you pour a bit more slowly and actually press the button to open it for the pour at the beginning it generally doesn’t leak at all.
The carafe will also inevitably build up coffee deposits if you don’t clean it regularly. If you notice it becoming brown on the inside or coffee tasting a bit more bitter, hit up Youtube and search for “How To Clean Inside a Stainless Steel Coffee Pot!” That works perfectly.
Sold! Thanks for the comments. They really helped me make up my scatter brained mind. Also, a very good “hack” to clean out a dirty carafe is taking very hot water and dropping in a dishwasher pod into the carafe and let it sit for a little while. You’ll be amazed how clean it becomes. I Braun coffee maker with the with a carafe and this was the easiest way I found to keep it clean.

@TimW and that “water filtration system” is removable if you have good water that doesn’t need to be filtered.

@Sleetish Oh, and in my experience this model takes 11 minutes to brew a pot of coffee. I set it to run at 7:30 every morning and it’s ready at 7:41.
