The only new movie I’ve seen is Prey. And that’s only because it was streaming on Hulu. It’s not worth going to the movie theaters to get Covid when the movie will be out in a month to begin with.
It’s nice to finally get out of the house and around crowds again. With the CDC dropping quarantine and screening for Covid, hopefully more people will join me.
My movie theater would reply Top Gun because it’s been playing every day for over three months. But I just looked over my receipts and would pick Vengeance.
I can’t remember the last time i saw a movie at the theater. It’s so expensive anymore. When my brother was in high school he worked at one and I’d go once a week bc I got in free and got free popcorn and pop too. I did that for about 2-3 years. Now I just wait for them to stream to my house.
I don’t see a lot of movies in theaters (even before the stupid pandemic) so my perception may be a little skewed. But I don’t remember the last time I had as much fun watching a movie as I did watching Top Gun: Maverick. It wasn’t a great movie. It likely won’t win awards. But it was an incredibly fun movie that hit all the right points and was a movie worth waiting for.
Maverick was hella fun and so much better than the premise of “Top Gun II, thirty years later” would imply. I haaaate that even a cent of my money went to Scientology, though.
WarGames.
@yakkoTDI
/image would you like to play a game 1983
@yakkoTDI Love that movie

Majority of my family has CoVid right now. So glad I live on the other side of town. I really lucked out.

Let us know when you’ve settled this.
@phendrick See second reply to lower comment. I doubt that this is really going to get settled anytime soon.
What’s a movie? Is that anything like a talkie?
Marcel the Shell With Shoes. Thoroughly enjoyable. I saw it twice.
@cenots I saw that! It was cute. But why is there a tampon with eyes in it?
