@DrunkCat …right? I almost feel a little better about the inevitable destruction of modern civilization if it means this thing and everyone behind it will be forgotten.
@alacrity@Kyeh Buy it; Try it; Review it; Report back… Locate a source for more… once the initial 14 are used… each capsule lasts anywhere from 3-10 minutes.
Seriously, My Shampoo and conditioner and soap or Body wash have scents. Not really sure this is necessary and often I am overwhelmed by people’s Perfumes, especially that God Awful Axe. So, Moen is a decent product, but this just looks like a money sink… Yikes…
Looks like only 4 sold ?
I did buy the one offered last year, looked similar but no espresso cups. $10 less. I never got to installing it so can’t report on actual showerness.
EDIT at this sales rate I see a future IRK item coming up.
Funny, I was just saying yesterday it’s weird that I’ve never seen an extension-cord showerhead in America, and that it seems like they’re all that kind in the UK, and that it would be nice to have one with the fancy armadillo metal pipe rather than a plastic pipe, and here it is, exactly what I described, but also with some stupid aromatherapy crap.
Of course I don’t want to try to remove a showerhead because my house was a new-build which means the existing showerhead was probably welded on on the outside and elmer-glued on inside the wall, and touching it would be inviting disaster. But it’s nice to know that these things exist.
@madamehardy@ravenblack also a very suggestive ad because how some of the shower massage features might be used (not that there’s anything wrong with that…?) in fact kind of kinky.
/youtube waterpik shower massage can turn you on
I will guarantee you that those pods are discontinued within, at most, five years. You should only buy the thing (as the front page says) if you want the showerhead.
It doesn’t look like the part attached to the wall can swivel in any way, which means if the default position sprays water out of your shower somehow you can’t change that
I’ve actually owned something similar to this – not single-use Nespresso-pod-style, but a cartridge that goes between the showerhead and the hose – and it’s actually a very pleasant light scent when done right, more for the room than for your person. But that’s the thing – lemon is nice, lavender is nice, but… Tropical Day? Miss me with weird candle-type scent blends.
@ItalianScallion@jmarkb Are you offering to be an on call personal shower fragrance dispenser? Is this the ground floor of some sort of new weird side gig?

If I want smelly bath water I will just bathe in the sewer.
@yakkoTDI what, are you the secretary of health and human services??
@Perfect_Timing @yakkoTDI
@Hanky @Perfect_Timing @yakkoTDI you couldn’t make this s$^&% up!
Even trying to replicate the utter wastefulness of K-Cups pales in comparison to the utter devastation “AI” inflicts on the planet.
@DrunkCat That’s better. Did you switch which AI you are using to win them back?
@DrunkCat …right? I almost feel a little better about the inevitable destruction of modern civilization if it means this thing and everyone behind it will be forgotten.
@yakkoTDI k
@DrunkCat yur skool didn’t teach you wurds with mor than 1 letr?
@DrunkCat Oh never mind no skool; you were trapped in a server farm.

*only compatible with original Nespresso pods
@alacrity I wonder if coffee pods would fit in this thing?
@alacrity @Kyeh Buy it; Try it; Review it; Report back… Locate a source for more… once the initial 14 are used… each capsule lasts anywhere from 3-10 minutes.
@alacrity Now, if my shower could brew coffee, so I could have a cuppa whilst washing my bum-bum… I’d be so happy.
@alacrity @OnionSoup it would come out brown either way and I don’t want to taste it
For the can it make a Margarita question, I was thinking more can it make a nice double latte?
Seems like a solution looking for a problem.

@ravenblack Huh. I’ve seen them often. WaterPik’s “Shower Massage” brand has been around since the 1980s.

@madamehardy …which I think I got last year for $10 less.
I shower to remove odor, not to bathe in odor. I’m so confused by this product.
@txag96 This.
It doesn’t look like the part attached to the wall can swivel in any way, which means if the default position sprays water out of your shower somehow you can’t change that
No USB-A to charge my phone?
I’m out.

I just bought the non smelly version of this from Costco a month ago and have really enjoyed it. As a shortie (5’2) this is quite easy to grab
Great for administering K-Pod coffee enemas.

@mediocrebot welp - there ya go! Clear instructions and maybe a new product for meh to sell
@mediocrebot

@shells sadly, the intravenous option pack was discontinued, but if you’re really determined…
@alacrity @shells @ItalianScallion Gaah! Don’t give it ideas, now it’s a Thing!
@jmarkb Raise your hand if you’d be willing to pay $5 for a fragrant shower.

KuoH

@ItalianScallion @jmarkb @kuoh @troy For that matter, get this deal for nearly 50% off at eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/334714070680
@jmarkb @kuoh
Sure. At my usual consulting fee of $100 an hour plus travel expenses.
@ItalianScallion You wouldn’t want to smell me if I raised my hand
The last picture is my reaction. “Aromatherapy” is chemical warfare in my book.
The magnetic function on it seems pretty cool but no way in hell would I pay that much to add 3 mins of aromatherapy to my shower.
Honestly, I’m sort of interested in the Aroma therapy thing, but not enough to change out my 16inch rainfall shower head.
I expect the thing to leak within a year at most. Especially around the “aroma” INLY pod mounting area.
