@heartny Thank you! Definitely one of those ‘one door closes another opens’ things. It’s further away but it’s also 30% more money. I worried every day that the hospital I had worked at was going to just lock it’s doors and close at any moment. I still fear that for those working there I care about, but I can breathe easier now.
@Kyeh I did get an Irk! Kind of funny, I was supposed to have orientation last Monday. The snow dumped on us so they postponed it to Tuesday. That day they shortened orientation to 3.5 hours. Checked my hours today and they have me in for 5 hours Monday and 8 hours Tuesday. So I’m getting paid for 9.5 hours that I wasn’t even there. Yes, it’s been a pretty good week or two. The only drawback to the new job is that it’s much busier and I don’t have the time to play here.
@cinoclav Well, then you’ll be making money AND saving money. Those free hours are a cool bonus!
I wasn’t trying very hard to get an IRK so it was a fun surprise to get one; I seldom do.
