I’m 34% human, but the test indicates I’m a ghost (of my favorite animal: 27%). I’m also 22% vampire and 15% werewolf (so 2% robot?)
@pakopako No. 34% of test-takers get a result that says they are human, 27% are ghosts, etc. The unknown 2% of test-takers may or may not be robots.
I am Ghost, always Ghost. I can fake the answers by checking ones I would never really choose, and get a result that says I am Human. So, I am not human and don’t much like human stuff. That’s accurate.
@pakopako @rockblossom I was up in the early morning (not the best idea) and a TV program was on about ghost culture of Savannah GA. I also remember the city had some voodoo stuff but not as much as New Orleans. It is a beautiful city to visit. Also made famous by Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. you might like it so much you will leave your soul there. Perhaps not voluntarily.
@pmarin I read the book MitGoGaE before the movie came out, and was not surprised to find that people thought the movie was fiction.

AI is a tool that requires tight control and a backstop. Otherwise, we might allow it to help us collegially and confidently make catastrophic mistakes that literally lead to annihilation. Think something on the order of the Hubble mistake applied to the Large Hadron Collider and an attempt to create a stable singularity with inaccurate measurements creates a Gamma knife that slices the Earth in two. I would rather have cheap dog toys and treats, non-sentient, non-heuristic AI.
@mehclain my kids have a bunch of prescription meds so I had like 20 bottles to inventory. I took a picture and asked ChatGPT to make me a spreadsheet with all the kid names, drug names, and dosage instructions.
all looked good at a glance until I got to three or four meds for Dave. there is no Dave. it couldn’t make out the names the way I had the bottle turned so it just made something up. then realized it did the same thing with a couple of drug names and dosages.
is…troubling.
