@jml326 Haha, leftover as in, same instance of photoshop was opened, and I was too lazy to change the one I was already using. Plus, swearing in Disney font gives me a little bit of joy.
As a wing walker I am always looking for ways to spice up my act… and that is why I love these Mad Hungry 4-Piece Air Blade Knife Set with Sheaths. When you are balancing on a wing in the air the last thing you need is knives causing drag, which is why these Mad Hungry 4-Piece Air Blade Knife Set with Sheaths feature this innovative AirBlade technology, as they say it helps reduce friction on the blade for easy, precise cutting and chopping, and in no way lowers material costs by reducing the amount of steel in the finished blade.
In for 4 sets in purple and of course I got VMP… it is the sharpest way to save on shipping!!!
It’s not quite the same product, but I thought the first review (the first one it showed me, anyway) on Amazon for “Mad Hungry 4-piece Forged Steel Cutlery Knife Set” was rather auspicious https://www.amazon.com/gp/review/R21R37ZUCUHATX
Meh, I very much appreciate how quickly you answered my call for affordable kitchen knives (just asked on the last knife thread on Saturday!), but these… well, they’re not quite what I was looking for. If it was the non-air version, I’d probably take a stab at it, but putting speed holes in a cutting knife… it certainly doesn’t make any sense to me.
the model # mystery was too much to ignore. LSQABR= Lucinda Scala Quinn air blade red, LSQABW= Lucinda Scala Quinn air blade white. the only thing to verify was that LSQ was a real person. that was way easier than your average scooby doo mystery.
I am tempted to get these but I already have the last group of four kitchen knives you sold. The one with some famous chief whose name I can’t recall right now. I love that set. I think food would get stuck in the holes of these knives and make things harder to cut at the very least they would be harder to clean so I will have to pass today Meh sorry even at 12 dollars.
Meh. Cleaning these things would be a bitch, plus those… what are those, speed holes? Well whatever they are, they look like they’d catch on everything. No thanks. Call me when you grab some Wüsthof knives.
Eh, I’ll try the negative-space knives at $3 a pop. Can’t be worse than what you get at brick&mortar discount stores for the same price (he said, jinxing himself).
Not sure why people would pass up on a Ginsu set a couple weeks ago and buy these, but I’d actually spend $12 on a really good bread knife than $12 for a pretty good one and 3 more knives in my drawer that I don’t need.
Farberware knives at wallys about $6 apiece depending, when they get dull you simply spend another 6 bucks. Wonderful cut through thawed chicken like butter

WTF mate?
Who will be the first to post the Bryan Adams video?

@haydesigner Me?
/youtube cuts like a knife
Yes! Great soundtrack for the rest of this thread.
@haydesigner it feels so right
The first cut is the deepest. Seriously enough knives. Can I get some fun tech around here?
@mehgrl you got it, Bluetooth speakers coming up!
@vekke I guess I deserved that.
@mehgrl Cheap quadcopters next!
@sligett Please no, my wife might beat me
@vekke Damn, you’re good.
A real “air blade” would just be a handle. Weak.
@awk Dysan is coming out with one like that real soon.
The only air product I like are Air Jordan’s
@somf69 But you’re gonna luv em airpods!
@somf69 Honestly, I like plain old air the best. Try doing without it for a day!
@PocketBrain Not even TX air when the return address is meh?
Well, it’s something I don’t have.
@wew the Pope uses this because, well, you know…
@wew it’s holey
Holes cut out … so you have additional place for food to get stuck to and you get a weaker blade.
What a deal! … NOT!
Stabby the Unicorn uses a solid blade for a reason.

@narfcake No those are speed holes.
/youtube speed holes
@narfcake My thoughts exactly. Seems like a bad idea all-round. Maybe the stuck food will provide some structural integrity and prevent snapping.
@narfcake Think of them as cigar cutters, except for fingers.
@narfcake For an added bonus they are harder to clean.
Didn’t the full Tang grow out of the space program?

Good knife, and good luck.
These have been on QVC. That’s how you know they’re quality!
But seriously, I have way too many knives. People are going to start talking.
@Knightp lol sadly I bought these from an infomercial great knives if only the wait there’s more didn’t cost me 69.99
@lichme Disney font?
@jml326 Indeed, good eye. Leftover from making some invites for my soon to be 1 year old daughters birthday party.
@lichme you only have so many uses?
@jml326 Haha, leftover as in, same instance of photoshop was opened, and I was too lazy to change the one I was already using. Plus, swearing in Disney font gives me a little bit of joy.
@lichme One never knows it is Disney after all.

@cshillaber Real question is, do th sheaths have the same cut outs as the blades? Air sheaths or gtfo.
Slicing Sunday? Scarcely sold.
Meh

All references to their existence come from QVC and the like. That’s promising. Hmmm… well, maybe hardcore backpacker chefs would like them?
Just don’t get your airpods mixed up with your airblades…it could be very painful! (Tho Apple would probably tell you its a feature.)
uppity-prissy-platypus
@KDemo Perry the Platypus sneaking off to his secret lair.
I’ve always wondered what my knives were missing. Now I know – big, ugly holes!
@rv617 for food to harden in
Careful now, the write-up actually talks about the product.

And the weekend ends with a whimper.
Trying to clean one of these things would most likely end in my losing blood (and possibly a finger). No thanks, too risky.
WHY are people buying these?? Must be the Ninjas.
I’m not buying something with holes in it!
@chr NO DOUGHNUTS FOR YOU!
“minimum-loved-muscle” thanks for rubbing it in, meh…
As a cheese monger, holes in knives make a lot of sense.
@HemlockTea For cutting swiss cheese?
@HemlockTea you cut cheese for a living?
@HemlockTea this is about the only reason I can see for these blades…
@robson Indeed

I can only thing about them being structurally weaker and breaking mid use and stabbing me in the chest.
Pass. No knife set is complete without a 6-inch boner.
@spoiled99 you just wanted to say six inch boner

@wickhameh oh yeah I bought the famous chiefs knives and those Ginsu knives so I really don’t need these.
@wickhameh those ginsu knives were OK, these seem a closer fit to what I need - more general use knives, not a bread knife.
I’m personally wary of knives that have a $50 list price let alone $50 knives marked down to $12
But wait, if you buy today Meh will send you up to an additional two sets Free!*
*just pay separate processing fee of $12.00 each additional set.
@MrMark Good one lol
Those knives have “ritualistic cannibalism” written all over them.
@llabak
That must be why I bought a set. Couldn’t figure it out…
/giphy voluptuous-wounded-hare
I was so excited about this deal I forgot to click the meh button.
Just moved and I’m in need of all the essentials.
This fits the bill.

Thickness of blades? Nobody is talking about it.
Actually, I got around to using one of these the other night and I was pleasantly surprised. Not meh at all!
I know why they were so cheap, not sharp at all.
