Kohl's will soon accept Amazon returns at all its stores
11This is pretty awe-some (screw off m-bot). For items that don’t have free return shipping the options have been somewhat limited. The fact that I have a Kohl’s 5 minutes away makes me quite happy.

this is totally going to change how i buy clothes off amazon. not sure which of a few options i want? buy ‘em all! try ‘em on! return the ugly one’s to Kohl’s!
@katylava yes because the fit of clothes can vary even inside the brand. Makes it suddenly far more risk free.
I’ve been doing this for a while. Maybe I was just lucky?
@Fuzzalini Yup. It was tested in 100 stores. It’s now going to be available in all 1150 of them.
I’ve done it a couple of times and I have to say I love it. It’s so easy and your return is credited immediately. They give you an in-store coupon attached to your return receipt, which is brilliant. I’ve never used it, but that doesn’t make it not brilliant.
This would be great except the nearest Kohl’s to me is 30 minutes way with good traffic whereas the nearest Amazon distribution center is 5 minutes away and they don’t take returns.
This would have been handy for me once or twice. The thing is, I’d have to go to Kohl’s…
Doesn’t Amazon already offer free returns? Especially on apparel, I thought they encouraged you to try it out and send it back for whatever reason. I haven’t tried it, maybe you have to pay return shipping?
@trucktipper The advantage is that you don’t have to pack it, or print out a return label, or anything. They have a designated counter and you just bring the item to it and show the return authorization on your phone. They scan it and give you a receipt. They might ask if it’s damaged, in which case you show them the damage. If you’re near a Kohl’s anyway, it’s really convenient. For me, the main thing is sometimes if I use UPS it takes awhile for the return to be received/processed and I spend the time worrying it was lost.
@trucktipper Only Prime items ship free. Some vendors offer free shipping, but many don’t.
What about returns that would otherwise have a cost, like most non-clothing items?
@becca According to the articles about it, you can return anything regardless of whether it would have cost you to ship it back. I’d imagine it’s only valid for items shipped by Amazon though so third party sellers that ship the items themselves won’t apply.
@cinoclav maybe I’m being dense but I didn’t see any clarification on whether they’d still take the cost of return shipping out of your refund for items that don’t have free returns.
@becca Other articles mention it will be free.

@cinoclav thanks. Still some ambiguity in what’s deemed eligible, but that’s helpful.
Does this include woot purchases when using Amazon login and the Amazon A-Z Guarantee?
@medz Ha ha! You should ask Woot or AMZN probably, but I’ll wager you’ll be disappointed. Kohls probably has no idea what woot is.
Still, a very good question!
