@phendrick@rjquillin 20-odd years ago, we had a printer in our office that was making a really annoying mosquito-pitched whine. The tech HP sent out to service it was the age I am now, and couldn’t hear it. Last year, I got a call from my accounting department about the same problem. I told them, “I can’t hear the noise you’re hearing, but I believe you, so let’s see if we can get them to send out a tech who’s under 35 to fix it”.
@rjquillin@st_ellis Yeah, I can remember when I could actually hear when a mosquito was trying to sneak up behind me. Now, they just succeed and I realize I’ve been bitten after I start to itch and find the bump. (The f’ers seem to know that they can’t be seen when they come from behind. So, something akin to intelligence there?)
Do they make a hearing assist that just picks up on the high pitches (when necessary)?
@Num1Zero Eddie Guerrero beating him for the heavyweight made my childhood lol. That cowbell match with the rope ugh… Good ole days in the week. So sad what happened to my fav wrestler eddie
These are probably fine, (although you can get cheaper sets that are perfectly good starter options in the $20-30 range,) but in case you’re not familiar, this “earbud” style (as opposed to IEMs/canalphones) isn’t great for music since they don’t form a tight seal. The end result is that bass response in particular is limited, but otherwise these would be fine for use while watching videos (Youtube, movies, etc.), video conferencing, etc.
@sglewis I don’t know anything about an adult film version of this joke. I’m hopeful you’re referring to the plumber/tight seal part of the joke as opposed to Alaskan/tight seal part.
@Atomizer on Amazon the same day this was on meh, they had for the same price the jbl live 700 and the Sony wf-xb700 extra bass. I first got jbl then decided to get the Sony to test them. I love them both so much I’m keeping both. Odd day to buy these jbls when on prime day on Amazon at the same time was for the same price, far supreme earphones

But my ears don’t deserve that.
@phendrick
My ears don’t hear that!
Anymore…

JBL is crappy wrestler but makes decent speakers.

@Atomizer Which reminds me…
What does an Alaskan have in common with a plumber?
They’re both looking for a tight seal.
@Atomizer @Trinityscrew The version of this I know says “walrus” rather than “Alaskan”
@Trinityscrew I’m fairly confident there’s an adult film version of this joke too.
@Atomizer @DonWhiteside The version I know used “Eskimo”. I changed it to “Alaskan” so as not to stir up the woke, SJW crowd.
@sglewis I don’t know anything about an adult film version of this joke. I’m hopeful you’re referring to the plumber/tight seal part of the joke as opposed to Alaskan/tight seal part.
@Trinityscrew I was, although there certainly can be a two Alaskan’s forming a tight seal in a film, I suppose. I’ll leave now, thanks…

If I was as cool as that cat, I could wear these too.
Would they stay in my ears? Doubtful.
@Joedetroit There’s a video review on Amazon of a girl jumping rope, doing a handstand, and doing a cartwheel with them staying in firmly.
@Joedetroit @TBoneZeOriginal Super Glue works wonders!
After reading the reviews, even the linked amazon page, major pass
WOW!
Nothing new posted in 13 hours. Did I miss the rapture??
@chienfou Well, if so, I’m still here too with the rest of us sinners.
I bought these on June 23 and for the last 3 weeks I can only get the Left earbud to recharge. How do I get warranty work done?
