is it just me, or is Meh. less exciting?
8i am super busy, so Meh.be that esplains it.
but i’m not trolling the forums much lately (oh yea, i’m drunk now)
tonight the posts after change over are very few. i think other trolls are taking some time off
perhaps it’s cuz of this dude:
/youtube i have a dream
i know it’s not a fuk* or anything, but things seem pretty quiet (quite)
Meh., i think i’ll get a nother drink (have you heard of the nother drink? they are amazing)

You kidding, man? Chromebook.
MOTHERFUCKING CHROMEBOOK!!!
The excitement is palpable. Believe me; I palped it.
Meh is great, but I think it’s missing something.
Meh is like a great steak that wasn’t cooked in butter. It’s still steak and delicious, but the thing that makes it amazing is missing.
@Kevin Wrapped in bacon and cooked in butter.
@Kevin I think of it more as a marriage. We’re past the honeymoon phase. We still like each other, but it doesn’t feel so special anymore.
@pitamuffin But, you think it’s not the same answer? More butter?
@pitamuffin they need to surprise us with a night out or somthing.
@Kevin I will cook you in your baby’s food!
Less exciting??? Next thing you will tell us is knives and water bottles are boring.
It’s the weather
/giphy weather
it was the holidays. people seemed to be on here less during that time. except me. when i was drunk. good times.
i usually go through cycles of being on here. i’m on a lot, and then there’s periods where i don’t post much at all. i figured everyone else goes through these as well. maybe a lot of people’s cycles happened to coincide? i’ve read when you hang out with a group of people a lot, your cycles start to coincide.
@carl669 ha ha. you getting a sex change? : )
@carl669
Ya know, fuck.
@Kidsandliz
@f00l fuck yeah fuck.
/giphy exciting
I’m taking this chance to see how the giphy function works. Or doesn’t work.
@UncleVinny Keep hitting edit and save until you get one you like.
@sammydog01 @unclevinny
…like, for no more than 4 min 59 sec.
Is the thrill gone?
@f00l I’m thinking about buying this DVD
compunaut: Buy two. Send me one. I listened all the way through (for eleven point oh five minutes of it), and kept having to remember to breathe.
@Shrdlu
@compunaut.
The thrill is not gone from B B King.
@Shrdlu @fool I saw him live at one of Eric Clapton’s Crossroads festivals - amazing!
@pitamuffin
I saw him once in NYC in the 80’s. can’t remember now which venue. So gorgeous. A soulful beauty I can’t describe. I just didn’t want to listen to anything else for a while.
@f00l damn.
@RedOak
Will hold off telling you about Wilson Pickett then.
@f00l actually, I was reacting to that fine video you posted.
@pitamuffin
@RedOak
@compunaut
@shrdlu
Netflix doesn’t have this but Google
play and Amazon streaming have a bunch of these. Unfortunately not free.
Haven’t checked which ones yet
Also a bunch of Crossroads festivals are on Youtube. 4+ hours worth on some of them. Haven’t matched up what years and who plays yet.
I love the soulful tones he gets from Lucille. Such depth. Makes me regret never having really gotten good at a musical instrument.
Ok I don’t know proper music description words.
@f00l I played French horn in concert band and sometimes orchestra from 4th grade thru college. I tell my kids (and anyone else who will listen) that there are few things I value as much as the disciplined musical ear developed from all that exposure & practice.
@compunaut
I gave a cello I think 6 years? And I was decent for HS. But I never worked at it. And if you can do cello you can do violin and viola. And did a little piano. But I prob would make people long for death if I played now.
And my disastrous attempts at guitar, given that I never got a guitar fitted to my hands. I knew people who wanted to get to the Cliburn. And one person who did. I didn’t ever have that dedication or that fire.
When I was a teenager I kind of believed that people who devoted themselves to music and who achieved seriously competence and beauty must therefore achieve some sort of purity of soul or something.
I’m a little sorry it doesn’t work like that.
I got married 31 years ago and life is less exciting.
@lisaviolet
Do you really really want to be young and broke again, and to have to deal with the uncertainties of being single?
That stuff has gotten old faster than I have.
@f00l Actually, I had less money worries then, than I do now.
I really didn’t mind being single. Only child, we moved every two or three years, from state to state, country to country. I was used to being alone. I liked it.
@lisaviolet
Like being alone also.
What I disliked - back then - were various attempts to step away from being single that proved to me that I had no clue.
Possibly still clueless. But have learned to live with a few of my flaws.
@f00l Flaws? You have flaws?
Unless they hurt other people or critters, I wouldn’t consider them flaws. They just make your personality sparkle a little bit brighter.
@lisaviolet
I hear cluelessness can be a terminal condition. Perhaps my case isn’t quite that dire.
I just like hanging out with y’all. It doesn’t have to be exciting all the time. Hanging out with my other friends isn’t exciting all that often, either.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@compunaut Awww. And my husband doesn’t understand why I have online friends.
is it already time for “i miss the old meh” posts?
@kevlar51 Get off my lawn!
I do believe product saturation has taken its toll. There’s only so many battery packs, speakers, knives, insulated cups and chromebooks that one needs, y’know.
And yet, still no catshirts …
@narfcake http://allcatshirtsallthetime.com
@baqui63 Nice try. This, OTOH:
catshirts.woot.com
… actually works.
@narfcake Yeah, but those are sheep:
@baqui63 They have to have their off days too.
@narfcake
Do they have an “electric sheep” t-shirt?
@f00l Yep! @kevlar51 made this one:
It’s less exciting for my bank account… wait, not exciting… what’s the word? Withdrawing.
I’m hoping meh is just as exciting as our new president…
oh wait that was a nightmare I had the other night
I’m confused. If Meh is less exciting, wouldn’t it just be more meh?
@rockblossom meher.
I think it is the appeal of the topics driving some people away. To me, the meh forums jumped the shark when someone posted a thread about puke, and people seemed to treat it as normal. Sorry to whoever that person was, but come on.
@KDemo that was me.
I’m not normal.
@RiotDemon - I didn’t mean to insult you personally, obviously some people were on board with it. Tbh, I didn’t even click to open it, just a different direction for the forum, I guess.
Sorry.
@KDemo vomiting is a natural bodily reaction. I was asking if people could relate to something that happened. I know not everyone is going to read that, and that’s fine. Maybe it was weird for a forum that sells knives and Bluetooth speakers, but a lot of random topics show up here, so it didn’t seem that odd, to me. I actually got some good insight from that thread, when I figured that most people wouldn’t of read it.
I guess it’s a little harsh to judge something that wasn’t even read, but I’m not offended.
I found Meh a little over a year ago because I happened to see something (Google Now newsfeed?) about a site selling a Martian Notifier for $35. I bought the watch but thought the site was interesting so I came back the next day, and so on. But for me, it’s never really been about the products. I’m more here for the writeups. They tend to be pretty funny, so I mostly come here to see what it says. The addition of the model number reviews was great. The addition of the Sunday playlists are not, so on Sundays I just read the bullet points and call it a day. So, for me, Meh isn’t less exciting, but that’s mostly because I’m here for the writeups more than the products themselves.
ya all, scared lots of folks away. any folks who tried to post here, with differing opinion’s than the masses of meh. they were told plainly, your differing opinion’s are not welcome here.
so, no dialogue. just preaching to the choir… and preaching to the choir? is boring…
