Every time I walk out the door, I seem to be walking immediately right back in the door because of all you nonsensical people

I’m not feeling great today (kiddo is sick, too) and I was trying grab a nap when the dog went into bark mode. And that just means there is a delivery. I got up and saw a box from Peet’s coffee, and it had labels on it that said Fra-gil-e. So, I figured it must be a major award. I just ordered more raw beans from Sweet Maria’s coffee, so I was a bit perplexed.

I looked at the label and saw that it was from my friend Toni. I smiled and started unwrapping the eleventyseven layers of wrapping. There was a VERY thoughtful card in the box. Sorry everyone, I’m keeping that to myself. Thank you, Toni. That was a very sweet message. Really. Thank you!

I finally unwrapped all the layers (I got a free ziplock bag along the way) and when I finally got to the end of all the unpacking there was an amazing treasure (it wasn’t the ziplock bag).

Toni sent me a BIG bottle of vanilla from the Dominican Republic. That’s like the best of the best. It’s like Russian caviar or Japanese Wagyu beef. She knows my daughter loves to bake and makes A LOT of cookies so this was directed to her. The envelope was addressed to me and my “spawn”

The ironic thing is on Monday, my daughter made cookies for 60 people and used the last of our vanilla. It was on my shopping list for tomorrow. I think I’m good now

I am going to wander off again. But thank you so much. My daughter’s eyes lit up when she saw it. So incredibly thoughtful.
