It’s 19 out right now but we here in MI call that winter. My fathers furnace went out 2 nights ago, (he’s 80) people can’t come till today and he’s just sitting at home under a heating blanket. He didn’t want to leave.

Some friends in Ypsi haven’t had heat for a week. A pipe froze, it shut down the boiler, and the last of the repairs is supposed to happen this morning.

I could deal with it for a couple of days but a week is to long. I’d have to stay somewhere else. I’m about to head to my dads and I’m bundled up bc I know it’s cold there. He has a couple space heaters running but his living room isn’t enclosed enough to trap the heat, it’s all going upstairs. Hopefully the guy can repair it today.

@Star2236 In the future buy him some sterno ( catering candles) and a few cheap basic ceramic pots. (the orange ones are what I use)
It will provide good heat with out the worry / danger of space heaters. Its the same basic concept of ceramic space heater
