Ah, but the joke…when I replied tl;dr was I referring to Ulysses? Or the length of your introductory post? Or to our tendency to automatically avoid/dismiss complexity and literary exploration in an Internet age? Or parodying the current trend to dismiss books as fossils, unless there is a cgi-heavy film series and a video game series tie-in?
Any and all. Glad you brought it up.
Somehow I don’t think Bloomsday will take off like May the 4th - I own a Death Star kitchen timer.
Perhaps if Joyce’s heirs could cut a deal with Disney for a comic book, cartoon series, theme park ride, and associated merchandise and digital entertainment, ya know, Joyce might suddenly be The Man!
If that happened, would it be wonderful? Horrible? Both!
Come to think if it, a Joycean ride at DisneyWorld might be awesome if they did it right.
(Good job, Mehsters, on the background image.)

@f00l
Too long? It’s almost exactly half as long as War+Peace. Only 25% longer than Moby Dick.
