35So last week I put the word out to my fellow mehtizens that I was interested in another Meh mug. @Lichme rose to the occasion and volunteered one. Yay!
I clearly didn’t think this through, as he ended up doing exactly what I would have done had the situation been reversed – sent a bunch of shit lying around in a big box and laugh when he posted. So here’s the bundle of fun I got from our very own Mehstalker:

Notice anything missing? I did. The last thing I pulled out of the box was another sealed box with a product label that read “e-Joy Squirrel Solar Light”. I immediately thought – good gag. He got my address and sent me a bunch of crap and didn’t even send the mug. What a beautiful jerk. But, no. Tucked inside, well-packed, was the requested mug, safe-and-sound.

@lichme Wow, no way! I’m surprised. You must have made a nice little profit off of them. Paid for all the BOCs you’ve bought and then some I’m sure.
@jsh139 When I sold my house, I had to get rid of the rest of the ones I had left, so I sold them to a coworker for $500 (approx $5 each bag). He then turned around and resold them at a market (I knew that was his intention). I sold most of them for about $20, but some as high as $55 on ebay. I believe they were around $150 wholesale and $220 retail per bag.

@Kidsandliz Ones that are certified in a bunch of different categories for use with electrical equipment. Not sure of the model/length, but they are made by Panduit.
@medz It’s funny because skemmis bought some from me too after he sent me them. Haha

@Kidsandliz I could have, if I wanted to sell them super duper cheap just to get rid of them. When I had the time/space, it was worth selling a couple at a time. Even at $50 a bag, it’s a huge discount for people that have an actual use for them for their intended purpose.

Glad it got to you okay, I was worried about the mug getting smashed along the way.
Whomever gets me in the meh exchange that will be running after the fuko runs its course will be getting one of these mugs and likely the hockey puck too if I can find where it went. I don’t use mugs. So (paid advertising slot) when the announcement goes up join the next meh exchange and you might get lucky (can’t promise anything else in my box will be decent though).
And no I can’t be bribed. It is all random because if a couple of people got each other on purpose I’d have a short life span even though what they’d
dosend to each other would be entertaining to say the least. I think the last person I had got my meh socks and I made them meh ping pong balls. Purple bag - nope not leaving home. Besides, I have used it only several times and the white printing is cracking already - might not have any ink on it at all shortly anyway and then it would be just a cheap purple bag with raveling raw edges that I need to seal with a match.@Kidsandliz

Nope. I promised totally random and that is what I plan to deliver on. If there is, all joking aside, a serious issue there will be a comments/more information part of the sign up sheet (eg you will be out of town, please don’t send until after X date, or you are seriously broke please don’t pair me with someone on the other side of the country - you know - postage costs…
