Hi I'm @snapster / matt rutledge, CEO of Mediocre Labs. Here I am 2 weeks ago on a catamaran in the British Virgin Islands after my first water launch of an Inspire 1 "crashy" (RIP). A dji firmware update 3 weeks ago allowed launches from a boat for first time, just in time for my trip. full res
@snapster I'm embarrassed, but how do I post a picture in here if it doesn't appear on the internet anywhere? I have it saved as a JPEG on my desktop but don't know how to upload it to here. Help?
@pepsiwine I use Imgur.com for free anonymous hosting. You can create an account if you want to keep track of your uploads, or you can just upload without an account if you wish.
@pepsiwineimgur.com is a pretty common place to upload images. After uploading it, use the "direct link" url (the one that ends in .jpg) and just paste that in here.
Here is my drone selfie. This is about 5 minutes before it crashed into that tree off to the right and fell 30 feet to its death. I should have some better selfies in a couple weeks after I take it up a mountain (or two). It is a DJI Phantom 2+ with Zen Muse 3-D gimbal and GoPro Hero 3+ Black camera. I am the person NOT on a bicycle in that picture.
@snapster, @pepsiwine I did a little testing with both quads armed, but on the ground and couldn't elicit any kind of response from the opposing controllers. Tried both separately and simultaniously in an attempt to get any kind of reaction. Then I went to a big, open space very early in the morning specifically to avoid contact with the public as I tested my theory that they'll live together, kumbaya. After about a 11 minute flight I had no indication of interference at all.
@garyhgaryh Hey, I think I saw a grill in Gary's back yard... Ok everyone, new plan! BBQ at Gary's place! I'll bring the bocce set and some potato salad.
@ruouttaurmind lol.. i do have a grill on the deck, but it's covered up. If we all lived in norcal, I would suggest a meet. Maybe @snapster can fly us over to his house for a get together! :)
Hello I'm DJMajickMan (A.K.A Matt Leo) and I'm newish to drones I've only had two the DJI Phantom being my second. First one was a cheap indoor style drone which I still have and also has a camera and can do tricks but is easily blown around and doesn't have much to it. Here's my self from my second outdoor flight.
