@Pavlov this was my former home before moving to the downtown office full time. For some reason my colleagues don't agree with me that my 3-5 minute commute to the downtown office is better than my 40+ minute commute to the Carrollton office.
@Pavlov From suburban Carrollton to so-self-consciously-trendy-i-cant-breathe downtown? Let's pretend we're really-Manhattan-people downtown? Now i love Manhattan - when it's actually in Manhattan.
I wish the move had gone the other way. To, say, Mesquite, or, better, Balch Springs.
Then i would know meh had a soul.
No, those aren't tears, just got something in my eye. I'll go back to being gladiator fodder now.
@compunaut In Texas, certain parts of Dallas are famous for trying to be SW Manhattan. Emphasize trying.
Lived for years in Little Italy, and have spent much time on the fringes of the parts of Manhattan life that get "jealous press". Trendy Dallas can come off as a million times more snobby and "self-consciously fabulous" than anything in NYC. Funny thing, in NYC, the people i knew pretty much were treated as interesting and welcome, without having to work at it, and not being "somebody" in the social sense. Not so much in some Dallas "fashionable" neighborhoods.
@f00l Since I live on the 'West Side' now (Fort Worth!), I only get the tiniest sliver of the narrow slice of Dallas culture that I once had. Dallas is fine, but was never 'homey'. YMMV
@compunaut Happy you're here. If you've never been to the Railhead BBQ, at Montgomery and Vickery, i think you might like both the food and the gimme caps.
@madcowzack we've seen him wandering around the plaza a few times. Haven't run in to him in the garage yet but have run in to a few players and Coach Carlisle.
@MEHcus I believe that'd be the place. I recognize the checkered flag tissue paper in the baskets. Good stuff, cool place. Nice to have a bar that close to work!
@madcowzack@mehcus Shooters tacos suck IMO... meat was cold and corn tortillas tasted like shit. I hear their burgers are where it's at though... so I'll reluctantly give Shooters one more shot.
@sammydog01 I feel like we may have learned our lessons in trusting folks with this type of information. Unless you're sending cookies, then we'll totally tell you.
Soooo many macbooks.
This is very un-Meh. Anti-Meh even. Breakfast octopus feeling.
@Collin1000 technically you are right, since snapster was the octopus, it's appropriately breakfast octopus feeling...
But I get what I think you meant.
Lovely space. Now could you please record your next ohshit review meeting there? It's so much fun to read about those.
Downtown vs. Carrollton.
Totally a Sharks vs. Jets, West Side Story vibe . . .
Let's rumble.
@Pavlov not much fighting/finger-snapping between the two gangs, but we do have strong reprecussions for switching sides.

@f00l Dallas is a Southern city; it has no pretensions about being Manhattan.
It has its sights firmly set on... Atlanta.

I like most of Dallas just fine.

In a bit of irony, I saw some of those heely skate shoes on woot earlier today...
Very nice view of Victory Park!
Talk about transparency! Cool to see mediocre is growing. Weird to see so many unfamiliar faces, though. And it's so clean. Can you fly drones there?
@matthew - Yes!!! Feels so much more mehish now. Properly broken in, more like home.
@matthew I think I could read your neighbor's lips
But I could be wrong because I can not read lips.
Cool, though I hope history doesn't repeat itself. Woot was bought out shortly after they moved their St. Louis office.
Sooooo, you took over the MWW PR Firm's space? I think you should replace the MWW+ MATTER MORE signage with VMP MATTERS MORE.
And yep... Looking at the Wayback Machine, I see that they used to have a Dallas office, but do not anymore.
Their loss is clearly our gain!
Also, based on the quantity of people, it looks like it might be time for another round of meet the Mediocre staffers...
Can we have @ names for every single person in that conference room so we have some people to blame?
What? We just want some accountability!
Heads will roll.
Where's Irk's office ?
How many speaker docks did this office cost?
I would sit and watch the cranes all day.
Looks like it needs a bit of creative decorating.
Say hi to Mark Cuban - you may run into him in the parking garage.
@madcowzack we've seen him wandering around the plaza a few times. Haven't run in to him in the garage yet but have run in to a few players and Coach Carlisle.
@MEHcus Is that little bar with decent tacos still there?
@madcowzack Shooters?
@MEHcus I believe that'd be the place. I recognize the checkered flag tissue paper in the baskets. Good stuff, cool place. Nice to have a bar that close to work!
@madcowzack If by that close you mean directly under our feet, than yes, yes it is.
@madcowzack @mehcus Shooters tacos suck IMO... meat was cold and corn tortillas tasted like shit. I hear their burgers are where it's at though... so I'll reluctantly give Shooters one more shot.
@troy lunch tomorrow it is.
So, who is left at Carrollton?
@conandlibrarian I'm guessing they left @mediocrebot there as not to bother everyone else.
What is your new mailing address? Just in case.
@sammydog01 I feel like we may have learned our lessons in trusting folks with this type of information. Unless you're sending cookies, then we'll totally tell you.
@MEHcus You do know that some of us still haven't sent in stuff for Project Seligman, right?
@MEHcus What about cupcakes? Would you tell for cupcakes?
@MEHcus Does Olive Street ring any bells?
@sammydog01 Wait, did the internet tell you that? Those jerks.
@MEHcus Yeah, on like the 250th page or something ...
@sammydog01
3030 Olive Street. Suite 250. Dallas, TX 75219 I'm guessing
@jml326 That's the address I have. Can you confirm, @mehcus?
@MEHcus You should have painted that wall. Just saying.
@narfcake @jml326 reluctantly
@MEHcus Do we blame goat for not painting the walls?
@jml326 goat and lazy seem to be synonymous, so yes
@MEHcus If the former tenant's info wasn't there, it just would've taken us a little more effort to dig it up.
Shooters was mentioned, which is at 3030 Olive St., Suite 105 and is "... directly under our feet". Building address, somewhere on the second floor.
@narfcake True and adressed to Meh, or Mediocre corporation might just take a few extra days. So basically we might not want to ship live animals.
A "wooter obsessed" shirt, though? C'mon, guy.
@medz ikr
@medz I'm not forking over $5 a month to see a woot shirt. Ban them!
Wait, who are all these people?! You have more than the dozen or so people we interact with regularly? We need a Mehketeer Roll Call!
@jqubed probably just checkout.org or middling.com people that nobody cares about.
Way too much hair product being used in that room....on the guys
