I had to look up meh day. Sorry, unions did some good things in the past, but my experience with one wasn’t unicorns and pixiedust. I worked for a large package shipping company and the unionized workers used the union to underperform. I was constantly ‘encouraged’ to slow down and mess up a bit so everyone didn’t look bad. The job protection the union provided caused laziness in the workers.
tldr, if you like your union wear red on meh day, i won’t be joining you.
Why would you do that?
Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.
@cranky1950 Those who remember history are doomed to know they are repeating it.
Surely there will be some event today you can attend where they’ll be for sale and you can pick one up?
I wore green. Close enough.
Red is also associated with St Joseph, the patron saint of workers.

@jaybird
I think @Cranky1950’s nod to red political MayDay garb was probably intended as humorous.
@f00l None the less the commies did usurp the day.
@cranky1950
They tried.
They didn’t succeed here in Texas.
@f00l I agree. The subject struck a nerve with me, however. I’m an oversharer by nature and I’d not shared that bit of info over here before.
@jaybird
Re your response: Understood.
Whatever @Cranky1950 is, what he’s not is any sort of “fellow traveler”
Mostly, I think, he likes to drink beer, and hang out with his dog and his truck and “weird women”. Sound commie to you?
Enjoy the beautiful day. We’re a long way from Red Square.

It’s May, it’s May, the lusty month of May,
the jolly month when everyone goes
blissfully astray…
@OldCatLady
Was singing that to myself all day long in my head.
