I saw this video the other day and fell in love with the little guy, he’s got so much character. These next few years are going to have some awesome toys. Unfortunately I doubt we’ll see it on meh anytime soon.
My lifelike plaything is called Mr. Whiskers. He’ll jump up and off tables remotely. He also recognizes me when I walk into the room he is in; actually he has been known to come downstairs when I walk in the back door to greet me.
He’s very lifelike, he’ll poop and pee in a specific designated “box” and when I don’t put his energy units out promptly he will emit sounds of displeasure.
He’s “on” 24 hours a day but he does take “rest periods” about 80% of the time. He usually takes a long rest period with me at night on top of me so when I awaken from my rest period he is instantly available to me for play.
Sometimes I wonder who is really in charge, he’s that lifelike!
@cj0e Well, he’s pretty low maintenance. He’s self-cleaning even! I do have to keep giving him energy units and unload his designated “box” regularly–daily really–but it only takes a minute.
He does have a once-a-year scheduled service where I have to take him into a certified professional to have him checked out. They usually give him a little booster fluid in his system to keep him purring along, so-to-speak. I highly recommend everybody get one. Mine is a “Tuxedo” model, so he is always dressed for success!
It’s very cute… But $180 is out of my budget for something I can’t imagine playing with for that long.
mehbe at $99 (I do love that it is not cloud based)
@thismyusername Yeah, hopefully it’ll come down in price.

@therealjrn Hows the warranty coverage? Customer support department? What’s the expected service interval for your “Mr. Whiskers” lifelike plaything?

@therealjrn I miss my kitty.
Had her for 14 years before illness got the better of her. She was a tuxedo model too, and a sweetheart.
I’m in for 2 at $19.99.
Will my furby like it?
ROFL from the Q and A section on the amazon launchpad page for the cozmo…
