ContiNO! Sorry I’m sitting this one out. I swear Meh has a crush on Contigo so they abuse and get put up for sale far too regularly. The product are great most times though.
@MsELizardBeth The contigo cups with the straw and lid that came in two for Tuesday’s and were available in lime green, purple, pink, or blue?! I fucking love those. I have 12, literally, and we use them a lot, especially when we have outdoor gatherings with friends and family. I even bought a straw cleaner thingy for them.
@alexthegirl oh and the contigo 32oz bottles - I have 6 of those LOL. Because my husband leaves them places all the time and they are so expensive to buy replacements.
@pcolachiller lol while I was coping and pasting the price comparison you also noted comparison was to last nights sale of the knife–I’d say you are on the cutting edge on reviewing this deal!!!
I wanted these so thank you. I love the water one I have. Bought a coffee one and paid more than double this price, so I’m happy. Into the Christmas box they go.
I bought 2 because I am planning to alternate between hot and iced coffee on my commute to work. Hot coffee is so hot! And iced coffee is often too cold for my sensitive teeth. Finally, a commonsense solution.

I don’t always drink from a travel mug. But when I do, I prefer the 16oz Contigo Autoseal West Loop Stainless Steel Travel Mug with Easy Clean Lid. Whether I’m wrestling with crocodiles in the Australian Outback, skydiving from my private jet over the Sahara Desert, or water skiing with sharks behind my 150 foot trimaran in the Mediterranean Sea I can always count on my Contigo Autoseal West Loop Stainless Steel Travel Mug with Easy Clean Lid to keep my hot beverages hot, my cold beverages cold, and my Dos Equis Dos Equis.
If you want to live the life of an international man of mystery and leave all of the women swooning, get yourself a Contigo Autoseal West Loop Stainless Steel Travel Mug with Easy Clean Lid. While you’re at it, don’t forget to grab VMP, it’s the best deal for those who wish the life exotic. Stay thirsty, my friends.
I Love Contigo anything, and am happy to hear these are easier to clean, because the other ones are a PITA to clean, if you don’t rinse them out ASAP. But I am Not paying $9.00 each, TYVM Gotta save up for the Bud Light River City Rockfest this weekend, so MEH…
In for one, hoping to fund this purchase by selling one (or both) of the wretched Planetary Design mugs I bought here awhile back. Maybe the worst lids of all time.
@Tadlem43 Yes - a few kind souls here tried warning us that the lids were horrible, but I just had to find out for myself the hard way.
I could live with the loose fit, and I could even live with the rotating top that doesn’t really seal anything (except the crap that inevitably collects under it). I couldn’t live with the weird, random belching thing that it did, where only a little coffee would come out for few seconds and then suddenly my mouth would get blasted with hot lava.
The first time it happened, I thought it was a fluke, like maybe the vent hole was partly clogged or something… then it happened again a few days later, and again a few days after that, and I knew our brief affair had to end.
So… anyone here want to buy one brand-new and one barely-used Planetary tumbler? :|
These things are great. No leaks. Keeps stuff warm for a very good amount of time. For those of you who put dairy/sugary substances in your coffee, this LID IS SUPER EASY TO CLEAN. The seal mechanism flips up as shown in the picture so you don’t get stuff growing inside your lid.
Don’t get me wrong, your math is right in the sense that Costco’s price apparently beats this one, but you’re also not accounting for the gas to get to Costco and back, and your time. Meh will ship it straight to you without you leaving the house.
@givemeyoursoul I suspect you mis-targeted that. Anyhow, for future reference, an odd number divided by two will always have .5 at the end of the result.
@givemeyoursoul I would agree, but I’m at the Costco doing my weekly staples run once a week. Added cost is zero.
My suspicion was that it was meant to be in response to my comment:

I love playing Contigo AUTOSEAL West Loop 2.0!!! It is the best game in the 3M Bookshelf Series. I really like how the programmed moves add a new dimension to strategy games.
And while your getting your Contigo AUTOSEAL West Loop 2.0 make sure you get VMP… you’ll be “capturing” a great deal in shipping!!!
Sorry, Meh. All satisfied with my Sam’s 30oz Yeti-a-like tumbler. Paid $10 for it. Love it. WM has a Ozark Trail version too. They both blew out the stock as fast as it came in. Huge thread on SD.
Sounds like a late 70’s/early 80’s variety or talk show
I ordered the 2 pack last time, and gave one to my brother. I regret that moment of weakness, and vow to order one of these without offering it up to a family member, friend, or pet.
It’s it blue tooth?
Does it have any propellers?
Does it vibrates?
Can you carry a 17" laptop sticking out the top about 6"?
If the answer is no to all of the above,. Meh
I would say that the principal difference between them would be that one has a handle, the other does not. Paired with the lack of handle is a corresponding alternate placement for the button that opens the seal to allow you to drink. Stemming from this it is unclear whether you could interchange these lids and the lids for the Randolph mugs as it is uncertain whether the side mounted button affects the shape of the metal portion or not, I’m guessing not. Lid underside may/may not flip open on the old ones. Flow control is not specified for this one. Advertised hot beverage temperature retention is one hour longer for these.
@Dizavid I have both. I bought the two for Tuesday deal because I wanted to see if I like them. I don’t like them as much as the ones that are on sale now. The ones without the handle are easier to use because the handle is in an awkward position. However don’t buy these because they are not a good deal. Costco has these as a three pack for $15 usually on sale.
This item was used on The Price Is Right nighttime version this week. MSRP according to Drew Carey was $21. Some lady guessed $20. Not bad! It was in that yodeling hill climber game.
@Dizavid 1 weeks cross-over special where contestants get “assisted” by reality show (like Amazing Race and Survivor) contestants who are playing for charities.
Costco sells three packs of these for $15 when they’re on sale. This is not a particularly good deal. I have several of these mugs and I really like them but not at this price. The actual usable ounces is 15, not 16.
I hate these. I got one from a work event, and there is no slurp zone. Drinking hot coffee from it burns my lips and gums. I have a Yeti mug that I much prefer.
@jbartus By “slurp zone”, I mean that area in most travel mug lids where coffee can pool so you can slurp it when it is a bit too hot. Contigo lids have no buffer, and just inject hot coffee directly into your vulnerable mouth.
@drewg I mean, you just wait for it to hit that temperature where you dont need to aerate it down, right? Ive certainly never moderated temperature in that manner…
As others have noted the top is not easily cleaned- also if you put the bottom in the dishwasher- the paint comes off. A little vinyl tape with an interesting pattern fixes that. [ I used Checkered Flags pattern.] All that being said- it’s a great mug for the car, keeps hot stuff hot and cold stuff cold [ how do it know?] doesn’t leak or spill.
@OldCatLady Do you buy just to get the order numbers to put in to get the pictures? Do you cancel orders where the order number doesn’t provide an interesting picture?
@sligett Neither. I stockpile pretty pictures of all kinds. When the Malevolent Order Name Generator is unkind to me, I pull an image from my library. Awhile back some of us went on an escapist tour of the world, with dreamy companions, hotels, vehicles and food. It felt great to get away, and didn’t require standing in TSA lines.
I need MANY more of the Contigo cups with the straw and lid that came in two for Tuesdays and were available in lime green, purple, pink, or blue. Like a dozen or two.
Anyone else have a problem where the shape of the top causes one to scald their upper lip? The coffee need not be that hot, but that part of my mouth seems unaccustomed to have anything warm hit it. The old contigo with the big lip at the top avoided this.

@Stallion same exact thought XD
Contino
Want to get mugged --buy this deal tonight! MEH-mug shot !
I ate too much.
Bubby bub bub bub bubba.
I’m out, yo.
Oh man. How many travel cups does one woman need?
@MsELizardBeth Didn’t you read the write-up? You may as well throw the others out. So, one, I guess.
@MsELizardBeth an even dozen
@Cerridwyn I have 9 travel mugs from meh so far plus 12 contigo cups with lids plus 3 water bottles… all from meh. … i think i may be covered
@MsELizardBeth The contigo cups with the straw and lid that came in two for Tuesday’s and were available in lime green, purple, pink, or blue?! I fucking love those. @alexthegirl I have 4 and I use them daily. (1 at a time.)
Bigger and easier to clean than the Contigo Pinnacle mugs I love? Dammit Meh, you’ve made a manageable-competent-cricket out of me!
Mugs? wow! That’s a first!
I don’t want to see your ugly mug ever again.
And take your Contigo with you.
Hot tip: the top part’s not actually that easy to clean.
@cugel I don’t find it hard. guess it’s relative.
@Cerridwyn me either.
@cugel The top part is dishwasher safe, the body is not though.
@mehehe
I put mine in the dishwasher. It’s fine.
@cugel the entire thing is dishwasher safe. unless you’re drinking like ebola-victim’s-drainage-juice. then i’d just burn it. but that’s just me.
Let’s compare a Contigo to a Kershaw…
@pcolachiller lol while I was coping and pasting the price comparison you also noted comparison was to last nights sale of the knife–I’d say you are on the cutting edge on reviewing this deal!!!

@SHillman
Swoon!
@SHillman I wonder if he got to take a travel mug on his Mars voyage
Did somebody say auto seal?
I’ll wait until a 2 for Tuesday deal.
@jayplus707 They’re going to be 2 for $18.
Best damned travel mug ever.

Well, just in the nick of time…got the may vmp item just under the wire…whew!
My cabinets will be FULL of NOTHING but these insulated mugs!!
@bluecolor You say that like it’s a bad thing. I think I am going to eventually replace all of the drinkware in my home with Contigo Autoseal cups.
@mehehe Oh no, I love it. Seriously.
Sooooo happy these are back with the better lids… Yay and thank you.
Mug everest … … …
Damn that’s so much of a stretch for a pun it’s not even funny
Please, for the love of Poseidon, no more liquid holders on Meh!
@sidewinder3000 sorry but wrong. I need another set of Bubba mugs, family took last set.
@mollama Time to get a new family…
@mollama the bubba mugs should be bought by the half-dozens. they’re the best summer margarita glass ever.
In for one, hoping to fund this purchase by selling one (or both) of the wretched Planetary Design mugs I bought here awhile back. Maybe the worst lids of all time.
@nyisles Really? I have two, different sizes, and they work great. Of course, I DO have to manually close them.
@Tadlem43 Yes - a few kind souls here tried warning us that the lids were horrible, but I just had to find out for myself the hard way.

I bought one of these for my wife from Keurig. My wife loves it only thing the top is not dishwasher safe. BTW They are $25 on Keurig

@narfcake I was hoping for brown or plain stainless.
What’s up with the Christmas colors?
@cahuston overstock? We’re ~six months out, it fits.
sweaty-toothy-quiver
So, I guess, no love for SB at Google?
Sorry meh. At Costco all the time for 19.00 for the two pack. That’s 8.00 each. Try again.
@givemeyoursoul I can’t even.
@givemeyoursoul please tell me that you don’t vote
@givemeyoursoul you seem to have misplaced a dollar…
Don’t get me wrong, your math is right in the sense that Costco’s price apparently beats this one, but you’re also not accounting for the gas to get to Costco and back, and your time. Meh will ship it straight to you without you leaving the house.
@IdHateMe I vote for whoever you don’t want. Twice.
@givemeyoursoul I would agree, but I’m at the Costco doing my weekly staples run once a week. Added cost is zero.
@IdHateMe I bet you think six by nine is fifty four…
@givemeyoursoul I suspect you mis-targeted that. Anyhow, for future reference, an odd number divided by two will always have .5 at the end of the result.
@jbartus Maybe? I took his comments to be aimed at my 100% accurate mathification.
@givemeyoursoul I was referring to this:
My suspicion was that it was meant to be in response to my comment:
@jbartus Fair enough. 18 hours on shift and the brain, she no worky so good. At least it’s over.
@givemeyoursoul I know the feeling. 5:28 AM, still not going to bed.
Time to replace my old ones. This time I will replace black and white with COLOR!
Oh, and this one was great:

@ronmprime what are the words that caused this picture? That appears to be fan art of The Warden of Superjail!, a cartoon on [adult swim].

@ronmprime totally makes sense now hehe
It’s it blue tooth?
Does it have any propellers?
Does it vibrates?
Can you carry a 17" laptop sticking out the top about 6"?
If the answer is no to all of the above,. Meh
How do these compare versus the two-for Tuesday deal on that other Contigo?
@Dizavid you really need to be more specific:
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=site%3Ameh.com+2-for-Tuesday+contigo
Depending on which ones you are referring to the responses could range anywhere from volume to features.
@jbartus The most recent Contigo deal before this one.
@Dizavid these non-2-for-Tuesday ones?
https://meh.com/forum/topics/2-pack-contigo-16oz-autoseal-randolph-mugs
I would say that the principal difference between them would be that one has a handle, the other does not. That’s about all I can be bothered to research for you since you apparently couldn’t be bothered at this time, here’s some links, compare and contrast your own mugs if you want more:
http://www.amazon.com/Contigo-Autoseal-Randolph-Stainless-Insulated/dp/B0081F08UI
http://www.amazon.com/Contigo-AUTOSEAL-Stainless-Easy-Clean-16-Ounce/dp/B00KR9OIQQ/?tag=meh0ec-20
@Dizavid I have both. I bought the two for Tuesday deal because I wanted to see if I like them. I don’t like them as much as the ones that are on sale now. Costco has these as a three pack for $15 usually on sale.
@ckcarlton is it in these colors? Because I really like the green one.
@Dizavid I have never seen the green one at Costco. It does look really nice.
This item was used on The Price Is Right nighttime version this week. MSRP according to Drew Carey was $21. Some lady guessed $20. Not bad! It was in that yodeling hill climber game.
Not that I watched or anything.
@kirkslaw THERE IS NIGHTTIME PRICE IS RIGHT NOW?!
@kirkslaw GameShow Channel?
@Dizavid 1 weeks cross-over special where contestants get “assisted” by reality show (like Amazing Race and Survivor) contestants who are playing for charities.
OK, enough already with mugs and cups. !!! .
I’m thinking that meh’s goal is to sell enough mugs so that every ounce of liquid on the plant will be in a container.
Costco sells three packs of these for $15 when they’re on sale. This is not a particularly good deal. I have several of these mugs and I really like them but not at this price. The actual usable ounces is 15, not 16.
In for 2. My husband likes to leave mugs to rot in his car so its good to have backups. I’ve always been happy with the Contigo brand.
@UltraV21 I guess the back seat just fills up with them?
I hate these. I got one from a work event, and there is no slurp zone. Drinking hot coffee from it burns my lips and gums. I have a Yeti mug that I much prefer.
@drewg what is a slurp zone? O__o
@jbartus By “slurp zone”, I mean that area in most travel mug lids where coffee can pool so you can slurp it when it is a bit too hot. Contigo lids have no buffer, and just inject hot coffee directly into your vulnerable mouth.
@drewg are you sure that’s a designed intent or just something you’ve done and invented a term for?
@jbartus I think that most mugs are designed like that. Taking it to the extreme, you would not want to drink hot coffee with a straw.
@drewg I mean, you just wait for it to hit that temperature where you dont need to aerate it down, right? Ive certainly never moderated temperature in that manner…
@brhfl likewise
@drewg i tried the yeti mugs, but the hair was a real turn-off.
I have two of these and like them a lot. Easy to clean. Great seal. Metal inside and out. I bought a 2 pack from Costco for $20.
@ajr7u according to the guy above’s math…
that would be $8.50 each!!
@bchrist825
One waterproof-conscious-pita of each, plz.
If I flip it through the air will it land straight up?
In for one innocent-sorrowful-wolf, who looks sorta like this:
@OldCatLady Do you buy just to get the order numbers to put in to get the pictures? Do you cancel orders where the order number doesn’t provide an interesting picture?
@sligett Neither. I stockpile pretty pictures of all kinds. When the Malevolent Order Name Generator is unkind to me, I pull an image from my library. Awhile back some of us went on an escapist tour of the world, with dreamy companions, hotels, vehicles and food. It felt great to get away, and didn’t require standing in TSA lines.
@OldCatLady were the cavity searches still optional?
brutish-generous-pencil
(I think it’s rather brutish to wield such a large device in public, but I suspect that they will be a generous tipper.)
Wanted more bubba mugs, but the verbose-altruistic-koala talked me into these.
http://animals.howstuffworks.com/animal-facts/10-wildly-wrong-animal-stereotypes1.htm
I need MANY more of the Contigo cups with the straw and lid that came in two for Tuesdays and were available in lime green, purple, pink, or blue. Like a dozen or two.
I also need 4-6 more 20 (24?)oz Bubba mugs.
Then I can get rid of all my other drinkware.
Ugh the one day i don’t check they sell the item I have wanted darn it these are the best coffee mugs I would want a few.
Anyone else have a problem where the shape of the top causes one to scald their upper lip? The coffee need not be that hot, but that part of my mouth seems unaccustomed to have anything warm hit it. The old contigo with the big lip at the top avoided this.
@meh (insert big-mouth joke here)
@Thumperchick I THINK THAT THIS HAS TO DO WITH SMALL MOUTHS, IN FACT
@meh
