Humans tend to pattern-find, and now have incredible access to global information… Which enables a lot of pattern finding. And you can point out that there “patterns” aren’t really unique or meaningful… But contradiction fuels the sense of conspiracy, that there’s a secret pattern being covered up.
I read tarot. I inform people I’m not psychic, the cards (which I bought on Amazon) are not magic. I generally, at some point when they’re getting sucked into credulity, wave my arms and say “WooooooOOOoooo!”
But they generally ignore that part, and latch onto whatever matches their life/question. Human brains look for patterns.
Anyway.
A few deaths over the course of years in agencies that employ a whole lot of people? Is not significant.
I lost 4 friends in 2024. The oldest was 56, the first mod 30s. They were all dedicated, lifelong haunters. Out of a pool of maybe 100 people, 4 died very young in one year.
Is someone secretly targeting haunters? Of course not. It’s absurd and we understand that.
Is there more of a pattern here than with the recent conspiracy theory? Yeah.
@brainmist (there is a pattern that connects these deaths, and that’s that people aren’t getting cancer, heart disease, and depression diagnosed and treated early enough.)
