Check your Halo batteries
6I just got my Halo lanterns. The first one I pulled out didn’t work. When I looked at the batteries I saw that one of the batteries had started to leak. Checked the other 5 lanterns and they are all ok. I expect to need new batteries, so that was no big deal, but I don’t recommend leaving a leaking battery in place.

After RTFM, I pulled out the piece of plastic at the end of the batteries and mine work fine.
@OldCatLady The piece of plastic wasn’t the problem. When I pulled out the plastic (hurray for manuals) and it didn’t work I looked more closely and saw a leaky battery. As I said before, I regard leaky batteries as a problem.
Mine were all okay, but I’m going to replace them. I never trust already-inserted batteries.
